Healthy Food for All in Downtown Oakland - Edit
I’m a firm believer in food justice and this market is located in downtown area near schools and multi-residential units which is awesome. It can get spendy but they have specials on fresh produce and it’s accessible to the community. Lots of vegan items and healthier alternatives for everyone! I scored my favorite cookie and strawberries because I learned my lesson yesterday- always bring your own snacks!

Favorite market in DT Oakland - Edit
I love this little market! It’s a small place, but they stock great vegan options including Miyoko’s cheeses, Ben and Jerry’s ice cream, and vegan baked goods, and even Halo vegan dog food. It can be a little pricey compared to large grocery chains, but I am happy to support a small local shop when I can. Friendly staff and they don’t mind if the dog comes inside when I shop! Open fairly late, too.
