No vegan options for dinner

We went in April 2024 for dinner, there is a lot of meat on the menu, nothing vegan and when we asked for vegan options they said there was nothing we could eat.
The sign outside says they have vegan options but that may just be breakfast.

Cons: No vegan options

Beautiful views & great breakfast

The options aren’t obvious on the menu, but I was able to sub avocado for eggs to make a vegan pinto gallo that was very good. Very lovely to watch the birds off of the balcony, we easily saw maybe 8 different species of birds while we sat.

Nice place in the middle of Drake Bay Village

Although the menu didn't gave a vegan option, there was a lot possible. We had a pizza with vegan cheese and a pasta with vegetables. This tasted very well.

Pros: Vegan options, Atmosphere , Service

Cons: Relatively pricey

Yummy smoothies with incredible view and bird watching

The gorgeous bar overlooking the rainforest has special homemade fruit contraption to offer to birds in their natural habitat but RIGHT in front of the bench to observe. Dozens of types of birds...so special! And the owner pointed out an iguana sitting in the tree we would have missed. Special special place.

Update: have now had breakfast here & afternoon smoothie 3 times and each time it's been delicious. And a sweet place to hang out. Had a fun convo with the owner's young niece whose favorite animal is anteaters (& birds claro que sí!)

Pros: Birds!, Good smoothie , Leche de coco- made right there when ordered

Cons: Well, serves animal products too. :-(

Super friendly and tasty simple food and drinks

As I have a few intolerances, I always have to ask a lot about the ingredients. Normally people don't always react comprehensively, but here I got a lot of explanations.
We even got a breakfast option, even though it was far too late for it. Everything was absolutely fresh and delicious. And the woman who prepared everything was absolutely adorable. On top of all that you have a nice view in the forest from the balcony!

Really sad that I can't give five stars because of the app.

Great little spot in an area lacking vegan options.

We were thrilled to find this new spot on our return trip to Drake. There are two types of vegan tacos, a vegan empanada, and a Casado, all of which were delicious with generous servings. Breakfast options include avo toast, oatmeal, and fruit. They also make their own coconut milk as well as a few different kinds of pressed juices. Rachel, one of the co-owners is a plant based American and understands vegan food as well as prep.

Pros: Plenty of options, Traditional coffee!!!, Lovely outdoor environment

Cons: Can take some time for the food to arrive

Good!

The cafe/restaurant is right in the middle of drake's downtown. A very nice place that offers vegan options in the brakefast, lunch and dinner. The casado is good, plus they offer ice cream made with coconut milk and some coffee drinks with homemade coconut milk. The staff is very kind and know what vegan dish means. It was a nice surprise to find this place! Recommend!

Pros: Vegan options and staff know what it is

Cons: Don't fully vegan, they sell chicken, cow milk etc
