Great flavours!

Really great food that pleased the whole family! In depth flavours and catered for children who preferred mild spice. Would highly recommend and will be back!

Regret coming here

the food is not authentic, it's deeply overpriced and the service is very poor.

the Daal Makhini is the only decent dish of the lot

Pros: Daal Makhini is good

Cons: service is very poor (we were kept waiting), the food is patchy (at best), it is very expensive

Great food, great ethos and helpful staff

Two of us dropped in without booking, early evening on a Tuesday shortly after they had opened. All food is either vegetarian or vegan, and clearly marked which is which, as well as a number that can be adapted to vegan. Any reference on the menu to 'chicken', 'lamb' etc are all faux meats, so no worries there. The a la carte menu is now up and running offering a wide slection of dishes - we tried three and they were all very good. We found the staff very helpful, polite and the service was good, however it was a quiet evening and they are looking for more staff, so may be a bit pushed if it is busy until they have recruited. They are runninng a 'Dosa on the Wall - Feed those in need' system where after your meal you can add a voluntary extra half cost of a cheap meal (£4) to your bill. If you do, they will match it and put a sticker in the window. Anybody in need can then come in a claim that free meal. Love it!

Pros: Great selection of vegan dishes, Friendly, polite and helpful staff, Dosa on the Wall - Feed those in need

Cons: Toilets on the 1st floor, could be problem

Opening Weekend Buffet

Visited on the second day of the opening of this new restaurant to Cambridge.

The choice on the buffet was mainly vegan, with just a couple of dishes containing paneer, but these were clearly labelled. The food was hot and tasty, and they even had light and fluffy vegan naan bread!

They said they were just offering a limited option buffet due to only just opening. There was a choice of pakora, samosa, breads, dahl, korma, rice, salad and a spicy dry vegetable dish, which I think gave something for everyone. They also had vegan rice pudding and some watermelon and grapes for a light dessert.

The staff were friendly and seemed very interested in what we thought of the food and their new restaurant (they have two other branches already).

The venue was bright and modern, so quite different from some more traditional Indian restaurants I have visited. There is a pay and display car park directly opposite the restaurant.

We will definitely go back and sample the al a carte menu when they launch that from next week.

Pros: Mostly vegan, Parking nearby

Cons: Not 100% vegan , Toilet upstairs (maybe a problem for some)
