Cheap and good food - Edit
We ate here a couple of nights when we stayed in Cat Ba and it was delicious every time. I especially enjoyed the vegan Banh Mi (loaded with vegetables and a couple of pieces of fried tofu) and the vegan mixed vermicelli (nice fresh meal).

Safe option - Edit
Ate here a couple of times during our stay, and enjoyed both experiences. The pad thai was decent, even better was the vermicelli bowl with springs rolls. Two pages of vegan/vegetarian options so plenty to choose from.

Not a 100% vegan place - Edit
Not so vegan friendly, mostly serve meat and vegetarians, only 2 options for vegans: vegan fried rice or vegan pad Thai. Should always let the waiter know you are vegan, otherwise your food will be vegetarian

Really yummy food here! So far we've tried the veggie and tofu vermicelli and the tofu veggie curry and both were so nice! 🍛
Read moreThey have lots of options including pad Thai, rice and vegetables, a customise your own burger and a customise your own smoothie bowl (which I'll be trying soon!)
Service is verrrry slow though so just be prepared for that. Worth it though 😊🌿

Good Value - Edit
We have had two meals here now, I must admit looking through at the reviews regarding the build your own burger and must agree it really depends what you add to it, I would avoid the beans as a base.
Read moreI have given a high review because the tofu and Vegetable Vermicelli was one of the best meals I have had since travelling!
Both meals were very reasonably priced and it is in a nice spot on the bay.
Pros: Options , Vermicelli!

Blahh burger - Edit
Tried the build your own burger. Had the bean option with tofu. I had some questions for the waiter but I could not understand what he was saying? In the end, there was no tofu on the burger. The patty itself was very bland and dry with a gritty consistency. Was also pale

Unfriendly, couldn’t tell me what the vegan options were. - Edit
I read a sign saying this place had vegan options. The waiter kept saying everything is in the menu and refused to help. In the menu, nothing was marked as vegan. Also no vegan milk available. I had to get up and leave as the waiter could not assure me that any of the dishes were vegan.

Not bad, a "safe" place - Edit
Went there two times, breakfast and dinner. The vegan Banh Mi was pretty nice and full and the price was ok. We ordered a "build yourself" burger and it was pretty terrible, a bunch of ingredients blended together without taste. The burger was falling apart. Nice the idea to make your own burger but they should put a bit more effort in learning how to do that.Nice fruit smoothie and coffee. The guy serving is very nice and kind.

Lovely smoothie bowl - Edit
The smoothie bowl is a little bit expensive but worth your money! You can choose whatever you want and it was enough for a total breakfast which is special in an Asian restaurant. Also the smoothies are really nice and fulfilling with the soja milk, really creamy and they are cheap!

OK. - Edit
Had the fresh spring rolls what were OK. Order a cuild-your-own-burger that had absolutely zero taste. It was falling apart and they basically put everything I chose in a mixer and baked it, no spices or anything. Couldn't finish it.

Not bad - Edit
Ate here a few times as it was close to our hotel, reasonably priced and has a big menu. Tofu fried rice was my go-to “safe option”. When I tried the tofu & vegetable stir fry I asked for vegan/ no fish sauce and the guy asked if soy sauce was okay. Said yes perfect, but it came out with oyster sauce anyways. Pretty sure the stir fried vegetable noodles also had oyster sauce - I should’ve learned the first time!

Cons: be wary of oyster sauce
