I been here a few times and I love this place, the tacos are great, and all the faux “pork” and “beef” is done really well. The only thing I haven’t liked is the carbonara but that is likely just preference.

No sugar and oil option! - Edit
I am used to leaving restaurants either with a stomachache because of my food sensitivity to sugar or feeling lethargic because of the oily foods. I did not have both with the Vegan Dal dish! It was both tasty and clean. So I was made happy while eating and made refreshed after my finish.

My sister (a gluten free pescatarian) and I (a vegetarian) were in the area visiting someone in the hospital and decided to have dinner nearby. I checked HappyCow and found My Vegan, and I’m glad I did! I had the stir fry vegetables with tofu and she had a curry bowl, and we both loved the food! The service was fast and attentive, and the ambiance is charming and modern, surprisingly nice for a little hole in the wall restaurant. The only downside is the bathroom, which is tucked in back next to the kitchen and was dirty and had a wet floor when I used it. But I’d definitely go back to try other things on the menu.

Delicious vegan Thai - Edit
Delicious pan-Asian food - we had the pad Thai and the Angry Pork (which packed a spicy kick!) The menu is huge and all vegan, and the atmosphere is very basic but friendly and comfortable. A steady flow of customers speaks highly of this hidden gem.

My two favorite dishes - the PET ( pumpkin, eggplants, tofu) and the Ramen. Both are so healthy, hearty and delicious! It's the kind of dish that everyone can eat and not complain that there isn't meat.

We loved the food so much! I got Pad Thai with tofu. My husband got Chow Mein with tofu, and split some egg rolls. Eveything was delicious and good sizes! I all so got a thai tea and it was the best I've had! I cant wait to go back! Wish it was a little cheaper though.

Based on the restaurant name, I was wildly excited to try this place. Boy was I happy to have had wrong misconceptions! My vegan friend and I ate in and had the yellow curry and pad Thai. Both were super delicious! The servings were generous and the food was full of flavor. My friend and I both hate vegan food that is masquerading as omnivore but this was no masquerade! The real deal Thai food, “born” vegan!

The order was ready on time and every bit as delicious as when eating in. I will definitely order again and again.

Got a curry lunch special and the salad dressing was so good. It came with 1 spring roll and some rice for the curry. We also ordered a green curry and it was delicious. Quick service and very reasonable prices. You had to walk through the back room to get to the bathroom.

My Experience(s) At My Vegan - Edit
I've been to My Vegan several times. I really like their soy chicken. And their pasta w/roasted garic wine sauce is good. But I wish they also had a more garlicky version of the dish. For instance, sauteed garlic. That would be great. i also like their pasta w/mildred sauce the. I like it w/soy chicken or soy shrimp. I Didn't care for the yellow curry w/rice.It Really burned my mouth, throat,and stomach. So if you don't crae for that sensation, I'd recommend not ordering that dish. Overall, the food is good.

I've changed my opinion of the pasta/roasted garlic wine sauce. This is from my visit in August, so it may have improved by now. This time, I asked forit w/Sauteed garlic. But it Still wasn't garlicky enough ( it must have been sauteed for too long), and couldn't taste the onions. They were obviously overcooked. Finally, the wine sauce was as thin as water. The other times I've ordered it, it was a fair amount thicker. And creamy. They must have a new chef. So next time, I'll order one of the Other pasta dishes , and ask for lightly cooked onions and garlic.

I love My Vegan so hard. It's absolutely delicious, cheap, nice wait staff, easy to park and a great place to take meat eaters to try out vegan food. The stand out dishes are the kee mao noodles (order mild of you can't handle heat), the papaya salad, jade fried rice, mung bean noodle salad and oddly. My non-veg friends all love this place and we go often.

By chance I stopped at this amazing restaurant while shopping in Old Town. I ordered to go and asked for a recommendation for weight loss. My server, Maria, suggested an amazing Quinoa salad. Delicious and filling. A quiet, peaceful atmosphere invites all passing. This fine place will become a staple for me dining out.

A Good Backup Choice but Not the Best - Edit
My favorite vegan in Pasadena is Green Earth Vegan on Fair Oaks; clean, vegan, delicious, fresh. I went to My Vegan because Green Earth was closed one day, and I wanted to report that it's good, but not the best, and some things are better than others. I'm guessing that IF they can use a shortcut they do, so anything that can come from a can/jar/or frozen probably does (and tastes like it does). Tom Yum soup was much better than Pho or Won Ton (freezer won tons not great). Pho was garlicky. Some veggies in my soup had been frozen for far too long and were blah. Now the more Thai dishes and things that HAD to be fresh were good, such as: Kale Hot Bowl, Brown Rice, Fresh Coconut, Green Veggie dish (Kale and Broccoli, and Mushroom Salad..those dishes were great, but only if you like hot and garlic. Mock Chicken Sate good. Spring rolls fresh but "meh". They have a big menu with lots of choices but it's sortof a "soda and vegan fast food" type place which is not my thing (I love FRESH veggies). The fresher things were better and the Thai dishes were better. Nice little place and nice people, but I think it matters what you order. If you can do a rice dish or curry that would probably be a great choice. Also french fries looked popular. Check them out but also Green Earth (on Fair Oaks between Green and Colorado) is nearby and that's my personal favorite. Affordable, fast and nice people, and some dishes pretty good!

This is my go to for great food. The staff is friendly and helpful. They are willing to let you "customize" your order (no oil, more veggies, more spice etc). Favorites are spicy fried rice, spicy basil noodles, lava noodles and B5 breakfast. Highly recommend!

My Vegan has a huge menu with a variety of items to choose from. We ordered the breakfast tofu scramble, cheesy potatoes, pad see ew, and pineapple fried rice. We asked them to make the items with minimal oil, and they were happy to accomodate us. The parking was easy (it's not always like that in Pasadena), and the restaurant was clean and inviting. The food was fresh and flavorful. We'll definitely be stopping there again to try more things. I'd like to go again and try their coconut drink, that's served in a coconut. They had a lot of combo specials, which isn't something we always see at a vegan restaurant. Their portions were generous, especially for the price.

The food is excellent. It was satisfying and refreshing to eat my afternoon meal at My Vegan. The atmosphere was pleasant and staff was friendly. I will return again. I have one complaint , there is a restroom available to the public, you do have to ask and you must go through the kitchen to use it. This is a small complaint and will not hinder me from eating here again. I will not bring a group, especially if they are accustomed to using a restroom before dining. I will bring anyone especially carnivores to show them how delicious vegan food is.
