Great vegetarian sushi

This place is called Mt Fuji, not Ginza. Not sure if it's new owners or what. They have a great list of Vegetarian Sushi. Most is vegan, but we didnt ask if their tempura has eggs in it or not. The Hibachi side of the restaurant was not busy so we could have possibly had our own chef, but we were worried about being seated with omni so didnt want to risk it. It sounded like the people over there was having a blast though! We only got sushi so cant say how the rest of the menu is. But the prices were excellent for what we got.

Pros: Sushi options

Great Hibachi Grill

Our omnivore family brought us here. We weren’t sure how it would go, but they were VERY accommodating. The menu doesn’t show vegan specifically because you choose your options from list, but the tofu and veggies start off raw and unmarinated. Just tell them you are vegan when you order and they will take great care of you. They understand the difference between vegan and vegetarian and are prepared for vegans.

For the soup course, there wasn’t a vegan soup on the menu; so the chef made us one. It was fantastic.

When the hibachi chef was doing the cooking in front of us, he was very aware of our needs. They had Earth balance on hand. He cooked our portion of the rice and then everyone else’s. Cleaned the grill. Cooked our veggies, then their meat. Cleaned the grill. Cooked our noodles, then theirs. I didn’t question cross contamination at all.

At dessert, they had 2 really nice options. A coconut ice cream with fried bananas or sticky rice with mango.

It would be a problem if you don’t want to see omnivore food in its raw state or being cooked, which is always gag-worthy. But, we are accepting of our family’s choices and they are accepting of ours; so we were ok and had a great time

Pros: Vegan options for every couse, Chef great at cooking for vegan and omni together , Delicious

Cons: Not for you if you don’t want to see raw omni food, Vegan options not listed in menu specifically
