really yummy empanadas - Edit
I wanted to give it 5 stars but happy cow wouldn’t allow me. Had trouble finding cheep vegan food in split until I stumbled upon this place and ended up coming here on 3 separate occasions within the span of 24 hours. Really good service. The lentil criolla was definitely my fav. A must need to stop in to!!!

Good and inexpensive - Edit
A nice option for a cheap and easy meal. I was a bit disappointed in the textures… fillings were a bit “mushy” and one of my empanadas was slightly burnt. Overall though, I would recommend for a nice quick and inexpensive option for lunch or takeaway.

amazing CHEAP food & stellar service - Edit
so grateful to find this lil gem! 💎
Read morethe service was incredible, super friendly & knowledgeable. great pricing for split too
they make the dough in house which is so rad, apparently in argentina most empanada shops do not make it in house as it’s easier to buy from the store. i’m blown away with this shop and i got two tasty empanadas for 7€ !! score
i had the ajvar and the vegan criolla.
Pros: cheap, tasty, friendly service

An essential for vegan Croatian dining - Edit
Really enjoyed it here at this little place. It’s €3 per empanada and they’re delicious. There’s three vegan choices. The spinach one was a too hot (temperature) for us, like boiling liquid!! The lentils one was delicious but if you are going to try anything here it HAS to be the Ajvar - out of this world! Delightful waitress too😄

Quick cheap & delicious - Edit
A quick stop with several vegan options. The empanadas are warm and there is space inside to eat them. I had one with lentils inside.

They have three tasty vegan options and very friendly staff/?owner?.
Read moreWe paid 7 euros for three empanadas so it's definetly one of the cheaper options. They do have seating options, even though only a few. (I prefered the empanada with lentils and the one with ajvar.)

A-MA-ZING! - Edit
The vegan empanadas are absolutely delicious 😍 and they are gently crispy on the outside, like authentic argentinian empanadas should be.

Argentinian gem in the heart of Split - Edit
Lovely to see an Argentinian walk-in shop in the centre of Split. The place is small, with only two tables, but the food is very good. They sell empanadas (most of which include meat and cheese, as per traditional recipes), but they also have two vegan options which are worth trying: one made with lentils, and another one made with ajvar (bell peppers and aubergine - a classic must in Croatia). They also sell a wide range of traditional Argentinian products such as Malbec wine, yerba mate, dulce de leche and alfajores. Highly recommend it!
