Mediocre Food, sugary dishwater lemonades - Edit
Veg in Split is a vegan spot I had high hopes for, but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. As someone who enjoys supporting vegan restaurants and has visited nearly 100 across different countries, I was disappointed. The "lemonade" tasted unpleasant, almost like sugary dishwasher water. The burger, fries, sauces, and bowls were mediocre at best, lacking flavor and creativity. Portions were quite small, especially considering the high prices. For the same cost, places like Pandora Greenbox offer far superior quality in every aspect. Overall, Veg did not deliver on taste or value.

Truffle fries understood the assignment - Edit
I wanted to give 5⭐️ but the flavour wasn’t quite up there.
Read moreWe visited twice and ate different things both times:
1. Kitchen fav bowl with truffle fries & Chilli sin carne burrito with sweet potato fries.
2. Katsu wrap & grilled tofu wrap both with truffle fries
Truffle fries were 10/10 banging so much flavour deliciousness. The rest of the food was nice, could do with a bit more flavour / seasoning / a kick of spice. Not sure the katsu tasted like katsu, more like mild fajita - enjoyable still.
Drinks wise I liked the elderflower lemonade, to me it tasted a bit like that American grape flavour which I love but also isn’t quite elderflower. We also tried the hibiscus lemonade which was refreshing.

Alright - Edit
Decent menu but my wrap was lacking a lot of flavour and I ordered an elderflower lemonade that tasted like cough medicine. Staff were nice at first but once I mentioned the lemonade they weren’t the nicest about it towards me.

Very good vegan food - Edit
Had two bowls, the portions were big and the food was tasty. The menus were in english and croatian, clearly stating what was in the dishes. Only minus is, that you have to take a few steps down to get to the place, so it is not accessible. Otherwise very nice and very good food.

Good Vegan Cafe - Edit
We ordered the truffle burger, the burrito and the grilled tofu wrap. The burger was delicious but I feel both wraps could've had a bit more flavour, especially compared to how good the burger was! Still good food all round and lovely to have so many solid vegan options in a restaurant!

Delicious - Edit
I went for the game changer bowl and it was super tasty (whilst also being healthy and protein packed). The staff are really friendly and, whilst it’s not cheap, it’s great value for vegan food in Split.

Had the red adventure burger, the cheese burger and the tempeh salad bowl and all were nice. Could have had slightly more flavour on the cheese burger but a good amount of chips and the salad bowl was very good!

Amazing fresh tempeh salad - Edit
Some of the best tempeh I’ve had! The salad has so many sides and everything was so flavorful. It was perfect for takeaway too as the service was very quick. 100% would come back here!

We went for dinner and both my Game Changer bowl and the Truffle burger were very good.
Read moreWe went back for breakfast and the pancakes were a bit underwhelming, a bit burnt on one side and simply presented with banana and a strawberry and chia jam. The iced coffe was ok.
Not as good as the dinner

Unnormal leckeres veganes Restaurant - Edit

Nourishing and fresh - Edit
Veg is in a really good central location and is fully vegan!
Read moreThe menu all looked great so it was hard to pick from them but I chose the tofu wrap. The wrap was warm and felt homemade. The tofu inside was really good and went well with the sauce and salad! I made mine a meal and got the sweet potato fries with it and they were so good - fluffy but crispy.
My partner got the truffle burger which was really delicious and had amazing bread. Unfortunately because it was a bean burger it started to fall apart! The normal fries were good and went well with the sauce provided.
Pros: Amazing tofu wrap, Good fries, Lots of options

Different menu to online - Edit
We found the restaurant online and went a long way to get there. Arrive and the menu is all €5 more than what the prices are on their official website. Had to go elsewhere. Disappointing.

Vegan delights in the centre of Split - Edit
We stumbled across this restaurant in the centre of the Old Town. The menu is simple with several tempting fast food and salad options. It’s a little expensive but when restaurant options are limited, this place stands out.

Fresh and flavourful salads - Edit
This was a perfect spot for my family after eating a limited menu of mainly bread products for the last couple of meals. We tried two of the salads- a Caesar salad with panko tofu and another salad with panko oyster mushrooms with hummus and a katsu vegetable and tofu wrap with truffle fries and a side of sweet potato fries. The salads were really tasty and fresh and we enjoyed the fries. The wrap was a bit greasy and didn’t taste like Katsu but was tasty nonetheless.

I had the katsu burrito. I wouldn’t describe the flavour as katsu but nothing wrong with it. Good portion size. Homemade tortilla was amazing, and fries were top notch came out still hot. Other guests had different bowls which they said were nice. Would go back
