Mildred’s for Dinner - Edit
The food here was spectacular and the choice is amazing, which makes it really hard to choose. The highlight of it was the dessert menu which has some really tasty choices, luckily the staff were on hand to provide recommendations which I cannot fault at all. The dessert was the highlight of a great meal, in the heart of the west end. My only criticism would be that the drinks menu felt overpriced for what you get, but part of that will be down to the location.

Great spot, found it browsing the local happy cow feed and are we glad we did! Cute little restaurant and everything was absolutely quality. Service was ace too.

Would probably recommend booking to avoid disappointment , we managed to get a seat at 1:30pm on a Monday but it was pretty much full.
Will definitely be back to work our way through the menu 😂

Had the beetroot celeriac borani and the sweet potato leek tortelloni as sides. The porcini sauce of the tortelloni was absolutely incredible. As mains we had the fennel sausage mash and the alma bowl which were great as well! Staff were attentive and friendly. Can only recommend.

A pleasant lunch and always good when you know you can eat anything on the menu. It would be helpful if there were photos somewhere even if just online to help gauge portion sizes of different plates. We had the sweet potato leek tortelloni which was nice but did get served a bit on the cold side. Also the nashville hot chick’n* which was genuinely really nice and really quite filling for a lunch.

I wanted to go to Mildred’s for so long. Took my friend here for a birthday meal. She opted for a food chicken burger and I opted for the tofu main. The tofu was really good, lovely flavour. The burger was a little bit disappointing. Great to have a wine list of vegan wines.
Read moreThe restaurant is really lovely and also has outside seating. But we were a bit let down with the service, it was a Saturday but as we arrive late afternoon wasn’t busy and had the impression the staff couldn’t get us out of there quick enough.
I will go back to Mildred‘s as it’s such an iconic restaurant but maybe not the Covent Garden branch.

We came here twice - once for lunch and then again for breakfast.

Breakfast was also really yummy and I can absolutely recommend the blueberry pancakes which were so damn fluffy it was like eating a cloud.
I also love their payment system. You scan a QR code at the table which leads you to your bill which you can then pay. No having to wait for the staff to come to your table.

I’ve been wanting to come here for a while as Mildred’s is such an iconic vegan restaurant and I wanted to see if they’re worth the hype!
Read moreThe restaurant itself has a nice décor and is pretty big, with 2 floors. When we arrived they were able to seat us pretty quickly downstairs, which was nice as we hadn’t booked and it was a Saturday. It was mostly empty downstairs when we arrived but by the time we left it was very busy, so I would recommend booking.
We weren’t feeling like a big meal so me and my fiancée shared edamame and spinach gyoza from the ‘small’ menu section and kiri hodi from the ‘big’ list. The edamame was actually a pretty big bowl which I wasn’t expecting and was very tasty. The spinach gyoza was excellent, really delicious! The kiri hodi was also tasty and enjoyable. I thought the food was all good, but it was also quite pricey (we basically ordered one main and 2 starters and it came to £34).
I enjoyed the food and I would say it was a good quality meal, but personally I’m not sure it’s worth the hype of some of the reviews I’ve seen on here. I would really like to come back and try the desserts though, they look really good!

Walked in for breakfast. The place was nearly empty, but the setting was very cosy.

If you're nearby in the morning I would definitely recommend having breakfast here.

Maybe the staff were off their game because of Queen Elizabeth's death? Maybe I'm just spoiled because the vegan cuisine in my hometown (Montreal) and in cities I've travelled to recently (Tel Aviv, Torino) is so incredible? But my meal at Mildred's was just regrettable in terms of flavour (quinoa bowl) and the attitude of the server (sat me at a place in a mostly empty restaurant that was inaccessible so I had to start moving furniture around while she watched, not helping). I'm sorry, I really want to support vegan businesses, but this one just made me regret walking in.

Read moreThe food is super tasty and the presentation of the dish is beautiful. It's also hard to identify the ingredients, which is something I enjoy because it looks like it took some efford to make it.
The staff members were all very friendly and concerned about my friend and I because we were sitting outside and the weather was not ideal (drizzling a bit). It is a bit expensive but totally worth it!
The tip was included in the bill (which is okay), but I thought it was a bit too much (12.5%). I think 10% is always fair.
