Delicious brunch - Edit
We booked here for a Sunday brunch. We decided on a savoury brunch. I had the classic brunch. It was really tasty especially the beans and the potatoes. My partner had the thali brunch and enjoyed it. My first coffee came out in a very small cup. But my second coffee came out in a larger sized cup.

Insane! - Edit
Had such an amazing experience here, the food was SO yummy, the portions were perfect and the staff were lovely. I had the bokkeumbap and my dad had the kiri hodi for mains - both incredible. Nachos to start were also 10/10 the best nachos I’ve ever had. Will definitely be returning !!!

Lovely place and tasty food - Edit
We really liked it and the tiramisu was simply wow. We asked for a couple of bowls that came with spicy broth and not being aware of that kind of spoiled it a bit. Nonetheless very tasty.

We were greeted by Hugo who was very welcoming and took the time to chat to us and tell us about the food, which was amazing! It was my birthday and he gave me some special sweets and a Mildred’s tote bag. We will definitely be back, because we want to work our way through the whole menu!

Superb! - Edit
When you go out for a meal, you generally want something different to what you have at home, right? Or as a vegan you don’t want the usual options of risotto etc!! This restaurant is more like it! So much to choose from and such original tasty dishes. We wish there was one in Exeter near where we live. For all plant based eaters or not, I highly recommend Mildred’s!

We found Mildreds on the Happy Cow app and thought we'd give it a go. The food was fantastic and so tasty. So lovely to find a completely vegan place and know that I could choose from anything on the menu. Service and decor/ambiance was also brilliant. I would highly recommend Mildreds.

The food was so tasty, I particularly liked the ‘chicken’ kebabs because as mock chicken goes it was very moist and the texture was great.

Fantastic food - Edit
My second trip to Mildreds, food options are fantastic and really tasty. Love the settings and decor and staff are always friendly. I had a noodle dish that was really tasty but slightly overwhelming of the soya sauce glaze that I covered it with, I would have been better adding it gradually. Dessert of tiramisu wax amazing and the creme brûlée was even better!

High end vegan dining in the heart of the West End - Edit
I used to frequent Mildreds other locations pre-pandemic when I lived in the South East. I have been looking forward to visiting this particular restaurant since finding out it happened, and a theatre trip to London this week presented the perfect opportunity to finally check it out.
Read moreIt did not disappoint. The menu has lots of the favourites I knew and loved from the old Camden, Soho and King’s Cross branches, with lots of new dishes to try – it felt fresh, especially with Asian style dishes.
I had the impressive chunky humous plate with harissa chickpeas and pita bread to start, which would have been the perfect size for a light lunch.
I followed this with the bokkeumbap, kimchi fried rice with salt and pepper fried tofu. This was a proper hearty dish that I’m sure I’ll attempt to recreate at home on cold autumn nights to spice things up a bit!
I really should have called it quits then as I was pretty full, but what vegan can resist the allure of white chocolate tiramisu?! Reader, it was divine! Check the attached pics and prepare to let your mouth water!
There was also a small plates menu available with Brazilian summer specials.
My three courses ended up being one of the more expensive meals I’ve had dining out this year, but I had scanned the menu in advance and was anticipating this given the West End location. I thoroughly enjoyed the food and do recommend Mildreds for a high end, fine dining experience if you are planning a night in London’s theatre district.
Pros: The food (especially the desserts) are top notch!, Staff are friendly and make great recommendations, The restaurant is classy and centrally situated
Cons: Expect West End Prices

Vegans can actual do brunch - Edit
I was blown away by my first really great, fancy brunch in decades. I had the Almuerzo Brunch w scrambled tofu, fantastic mole sauce, and corn fritters. I love the corn fritter so much, I ordered a side plate of 3 more. The folks next to me had blueberry pancakes and banana pancakes. They raved. I will definitely be back whenever I’m in London.

I expected and hoped for more - Edit
We got in, the man directing people to the tables barely looked or spoke to us.
Read moreWe were only given the brunch menu but did not say anything because maybe we were a little early for lunch. After we ordered, we noticed other tables that were there before us getting things from the lunch menu and new arrivals getting both menus.
The server at the table was nice but we were making little jokes with him anyway.
Food was alright, nothing I can't easily do better at home and the pancakes were waaay too sugary for my taste. Not sure a single person could go through them.
Price was high for what we ate.
Pros: More downstairs sitting, All vegan menu, Clean toilets
Cons: Unfriendly staff, Food could be better, Staff could get come feedback

I really wanted to love this place - Edit
And there were things to love: the decor and ambiance, the very friendly staff and the innovative menu…but I didn’t love the food.😐
Read moreThe menu was a combination of Asian and Middle Eastern inspired food. I wasn’t familiar with many of the ingredients, but the waiter did a wonderful job of explaining them. He recommended the Mercimek Kofte when I explained that I prefer whole food ingredients to something more processed. It looked good but I found it just average. There wasn’t a lot of flavor. My son ordered the Katsu hot dog with fries, and my husband ordered the BBQ Chicken burger with chips. My husband said his was good but nothing spectacular. My son, who’s 11 but eats like an adult, didn’t finish his because it was “weird.” I suspect our high expectations got the best of us.

Very nice! - Edit
Went to Mildred’s in Covent garden after loving the SOHO one. We came here twice. They are accommodating but busy. We got the lunch menu which was good. Love the specials and decor. I would recommend the brunch over the lunch but the lunch was still good. We got the Alma bowl, nachos, some other dishes- did not care for the vegan “shrimp” sandwich. Good kids menu. Last time they forgot our vegan macaroons we ordered but remembered them the first time. Would go back as a regular.
