The strachiatella (probably spelt wrong!) vegan cheese starter was the best alternative cheese I have ever tried. Made by a lady in Franca Martina.
Really attentive lovely staff and stand out food. Best night from our entire 2 week honeymoon.

This is one of the only 5 fully vegan restaurant in puglia. It offers many different dishes from couscous, to sushi, avocado toast, soya noodle, burgers with different option etc. I liked the homemade ice tea without sugar. The owners are very kind and friendly. The food is healthy and tasty and prices are very reasonable. You wont regret it

Micro is a very small cute vegan joint. The service is nice, the food is good and very tasty. Italy unfortunately still offers incredibly little vegan food so this was really a treat to eat here! Hopefully we will see more vegan tents in puglia in a few years!

@missvegannl Please allow me to comment on your thoughts. The Apulian kitchen is originally mostly based on about 35 vegetables and therefore a perfect area for vegans. I agree however, that most places don't label the vegan options and often also on request, they don't know. Also many modern interpretations or dishes, that are not traditional are also not vegan. I can recommend Raparossa in Pezze di Greco. So many different options. I like Micro as well for it's simplicity and cuteness however.

It's great to find somewhere fully vegan that is tasty! Unfortunately the menu doesn't always live up to expectations - for example, ordering a couscous, falafel and hummus plate implies you get a good amount of each... but we were served with 1 teaspoon of hummus 🥲

Entre las callecitas de Cisternino, llegamos al primer restaurante vegano de todo Puglia. Un lugar muy acogedor atendido por su dueña. Cambiamos la comida italiana por otros sabores muy buenos. We were surprised finding this vegan restaurant close to our air bnb. We went there shortly after they opened and were the first customers. The waitress was nice and prepared all of our food fresh! We had some bread with a kind of bell pepper spread, the bruschetta (amazing tomatoes), the soya spaghetti, the burger and a cake with avocado cream and strawberries. Everything was very tasty with fresh local ingredients and the price was very reasonable.i would definitely recommend going there when you are in the area.

Great tiny restaurant in a very nice and typical location. Food was very good. Portions were a bit small but after spending several days on holidays eating too much, we were so happy to eat less. Meals were very balanced with whole grains, legumes and fresh vegetables.

Little lovely vegan corner - Edit
Small and cool vegan eating corner in the heart of Cisternino. We ate here for lunch yesterday on our trip trough Puglia and we found excellent vegan food, friendly and smiling staff, peaceful and warming atmosphere. Two girls serving and cooking but service was good. Only few tables, better reserve before arriving.
