Disappointing

We went here for a big birthday meal out in Abergavenny. We ordered loads of mezze for the table as the menu looked great but it was all a bit lackluster.

Lots of vegan options, clearly labelled, which is great. Food tasted good enough but was nothing special, perhaps our expectations were too high. The staff were fantastic though, super friendly and attentive so no complaints there!

Pros: Friendly & welcoming service, Lots of vegan options , Vegan options clearly labelled

Variety of flavours

Abergavenny has a reputation as a foodie town, that's perhaps undeserved - certainly for vegetarians and vegans. That's why it's always a pleasure to discover somewhere like Mezze Me. I'd got it into my mind that you needed three mezze per person, so we had hummus, sigara boregi, falafel, piyaz, acili ezme and Turkish lentil soup - rather too much for two. Never mind: they turned out to be good choices, the spicy tomato of the acili ezme playing very well with the white beans of the piyaz. Service was brisk and friendly, and there's a good selection of beers, including Camden IPA.

You could sit outside on Frogmore Street if it's not raining (which it likely will be).

Pros: Good balance of flavours, Good beers
