Worst restaurant experience ever - Edit
Just like the title says. I will now list 5 (yes, 5!!) reasons why.
Read more(1.) The hostess was ice cold and didn’t even smile or greet us. She simply walked up to us and stared when we came in. We had to initiate conversation and tell her how many people would be seated... I’ve never had this happen in a restaurant. She looked grumpy the entire time. Hosts should be friendly and inviting and at least smile! Maybe hire someone more outgoing or people friendly for that job?
(2.) Table and chairs that we sat at were dirty. We had to ask the waitress to clean them off before we even could order drinks.
(3.) Menus were dirty. One of them had tomato stains on it... they were paper menus. If a paper menu is dirty, simply throw it out — don’t hand it to a customer. Or, simply laminate the menus so they are easy to clean off.
(4.) They got my order COMPLETELY wrong. (The waitress was nice, but she didn’t actually write down our order, which I hate because it usually makes the order come out incorrect. Exactly what happened.)
I got tacos and asked for NO spinach, NO mushrooms (I hate mushrooms and have a legit phobia of them), and to add avocados. They got it entirely wrong and didn’t listen to the instructions or care at all!!! I could not pick off the toppings and just eat it because of the aforementioned phobia. My appetite was ruined.
(5.) Food was BLAND. I’m not picky and neither is my boyfriend, but we were so disappointed with this place. They even made the guacamole bland, which is pretty hard to mess up. Seriously... wow. I think all of the good reviews on G**gle raving about how “flavorful” the food is must be from people who are personally friends/family with the owners and staff, and some even name the chef by his real name. Hmmm... (They were also written right when the restaurant first opened.)
The reason I found out about this restaurant was through a vegan FB group for Wisconsinites, and one of the people had actually called the owners and asked for vegan options/a vegan menu, and surprisingly, they obliged. So she asked people in the group to go there and show support for the options. I was excited to go, and was so let down :(
Most new restaurants close down within less then two years... I predict this will happen with this place. (Good riddance 🤮) Every few months now, I check them again to see if they’ve closed or not, and to relish in the new bad reviews. Lol.
Overall just such a disappointment. Save your money and go somewhere better!
Pros: Absolutely NOTHING.
Cons: Order was completely wrong, Horrible, bland food, worst guacamole ever made, Rude host, bad waitress, messy environment

Authentic Mexican Food - Edit
I stopped here when driving from Madison to the Twin Cities, and was kind of blown away by how good the food was. “Vegetarian” section on the menu appears to be fully vegan. Only wish there were more vegan options and clearer labeling for some other vegan items like chips and salsa, guacamole. Very delicious tacos, and not too expensive either.
