Really lovely atmosphere and tasty food - Edit
Tucked away behind khao San road, this place feels so peaceful after the craziness that is so close by. The atmosphere is lovely and relaxed and the staff are really friendly. The food is very tasty. We had spring rolls to start; we tried the fried ones and the uncooked ones and both we really delicious but the uncooked ones were my favourite, mainly because of the delicious satay sauce!!!

Delicious - Edit
It was absolutely delicious! So flavorful, with attention to detail. We had the banana blossom salad, and I would go back to eat this over and over. We also had the kee mao and the Panang curry. Homemade noodles and homemade tofu. They even have a cooking class on making tofu

Good food - Edit
Decent Thai food at a reasonable price. I had the fried spring rolls and green curry. Not the best I’ve had in Thailand, but it was tasty, and would recommend!
Read moreNice atmosphere there as well, and off the main road which is good.
Okay, so I went back and had the fresh spring rolls, massaman curry and sticky mango rice. Fresh spring rolls are really good. Massaman was nice, but I’ve had better in Thailand. Mango sticky rice was also decent. Happy to keep my original four stars!
Pros: Loads of vegan options, Good price for the city
Cons: Not fully vegan

Great food - Edit
Great food and lots of choices. The Thom Kha soup and the Pad Thai were really good. The Black sticky rice with mango was over the moon! It is like a party in your mouth (a dutch saying).

Small portions, left hungry - Edit
We were really looking forward to eating at Mai Kaidee as we had heard good things about the restaurant and cooking school, so we ordered 4 dishes between 2 of us to try them out. However when the food arrived the portion size were so small even though we had over ordered, the masamam curry was served in a bowl smaller than a cereal bowl. The food itself was tasty but average Thai food that you could get anywhere else. We left feeling hungry!

Best vegan Thai Cooking class - Edit
I joined the afternoon cooking class with ice (do you spell her name like this?) and it was a lot of fun and I feel confident to cook some if my favorite Thai dishes now. I will come back, to eat and learn more. It's a big recommendation!

Good food, poor service - Edit
Although May Kaidee is definitely worth a visit as all the food we had here was really lovely and very reasonably priced, our experience was let down quite a bit by poor service. Our waiter came across as incredibly grumpy, messed up our order twice (without apologising), and was extremely slow (we waited 30-40 minutes for our dessert). Be aware that there is also no aircon, which wasn’t too fun in the humidity 😅

All you can eat buffet is just okay - Edit
I can’t judge the everyday menu, but the buffet was kind of bland. The selection was good tho. Three different stir fries, two currys, spring rolls, pumpkin hummus, rice, noodles, fried veggies, salad and different sauces. Probably a good place to start if you are just getting used to Thai food. But the taste of most foods was very „westernized“.
