Nice place - Edit
Place was crowded so it took a little while to get our order. The chef mentioned this as soon as we walked in and asked if a little extra wait is ok, which made a good and welcoming impression.
Read morePlace itself is nice and relaxed.
The seasoning was somewhat mild, everything tasted good nevertheless.
We had "Deep fried tofu", "Pat thai and peanut sauce" and "Fried rice with vegetables".
Some of the dishes are served with egg if wanted. The waitress asked if we wanted Vegan or with egg, which was nice. They speak pretty good English in overall.
Pros: Cozy place, Helpful and relaxed staff, Good food
Cons: Seasoning a bit mild

Plenty of vegan options
I opted for the Massaman Curry with brown rice. Fresh and tasty. Medium heat packed just right amount of heat.
I also had fresh coconut that hit the spot.

Delicious green curry and Tom yam soup 😋 - Edit
We had amazing green curry and tom yam soup 😋 freshly used ingredients and very delicious. The staff are very nice and friendly. The place is cosy and even though it’s close to Khaosan road it’s quite and calm alley.

Great options and friendly staff :) - Edit
Very nice staff who made me feel welcome as soon as I walked in. Lots of options for both vegans and vegetarians, all meals costing around 100 baht. Fans are a bonus too, good spot to sit inside for a rest and have something to eat

Good prices & can do a cooking class - Edit
Had a yummy Pad Thai here and it was relatively cheap, around 200 Baht for Pad Thai and rice.
Read moreOnly comment is on the humidity, it’s a fan only restaurant and it was quite warm. They also offer veggie/vegan cooking classes which I haven’t tried but would do if I had time!

Great food and prices! - Edit
Had the Pad Thai and Pancake with Fruit for dessert, can easily just ask for things to be made without egg. Both really fresh, Pad Thai tasted amazing, and the pancake was very ‘cakey’ (in a delicious way). Highly recommend!

Enjoyed! - Edit
We stumbled on this place and thoroughly enjoyed it. Amazing prices. Only thing was the heat and humidity as it is open air seating. They do have fans and try their best to make the space comfortable.

Still so good! - Edit
We just had to have a meal at May Kaidee because well, it is somewhat iconic!
Read moreThe menu is large and while it is a vegetarian restaurant, there are many vegan choices.
My husband had the vegetable rice and the fried tofu while I had the green curry. For dessert, we shared mango sticky rice.
All the food was delicious and the curry was full of flavour!
The staff were friendly, and the space is really nice. It is an open restaurant with a corrugated iron roof and fans, so it is a bit hot, though.

Enjoyed our meal here. I got pad see ew, sister tried pad thai, and friend went for the pineapple fried rice. Food was good. For drinks we got the fresh coconut, hibiscus tea, and lemongrass tea. They were all great.

May Kaidee Keren! - Edit
During my visit to Bangkok this time, I not only stumbled upon this amazing vegan restaurant but also made some incredible new friends from May Kaidee.
Read moreThe food options here are so diverse, and I'm sure you'll find everything they serve here delicious. And when it comes to prices, for a restaurant of their caliber, it's pretty budget-friendly.
The new friends I mentioned earlier are the friendly and fun staff of this restaurant. I've gotten to know some of them quite well, to the point where it feels more like visiting a friend's house than a restaurant.
I must admit, I've been hitting up this place almost every other day during my two-month stay in Bangkok. It's definitely secured a spot on my list of favorite vegan restaurants in Bangkok.
Wishing continued success and good health to everyone at May Kaidee... You guys are awesome!

Great food, but looong waiting time - Edit
Love the place, ate here twice and would gladly come back (and can also strongly suggest the cooking course), but I do NOT recommend coming here if you are in a hurry. And I strongly suggest avoiding re-ordering.

Food:
Everything was great, but the How Mokk and the Khao Soy were our favourites.
-------
Waiting time:
First time we came here was in the evening around 7-7.30pm. The place was packed, so it took until 8pm until the food arrived. I then had the smart idea to make another order for a pancake. After 40 minutes I inquired ("they are doing it right now"), in the end we had to wait until 9.30pm...
The second time we came here before 6pm, and there were only two other people there. Food arrived by 6.30pm. And I did the same mistake, ordered another dish, waited until 7.40pm, upon inquiry they noticed they had forgotten about it (all I got was a "sorry"), and by 8pm I finally got it.
Personally, I'd prefer if they changed to a format with less seats and a waiting list, so people can decide for themselves if they are ok with waiting for xx minutes. While I appreciate that they would never send customers away, the long waiting frustrated and negatively affected my experience here.
Pros: Super tasty & cheap, large menu
Cons: Very long waiting time for orders, Besides the owner, most staff speak little English
