Inconsistent, ok food, beautiful spot - Edit
I went there twice with my girlfriend (both vegetarian) and we always ask for different dishes so we can share :)
Read moreMaracuya changes the menu every day so we tried in total 5 different dishes and 4 drinks.
Out of the 5 dishes, 1 was good, 1 were ok, and the other 3 were either with hardly any taste or not well achieved. The drinks were ok but nothing special.
In the end, for the price I would expect something better because I really didn't feel really happy with any of the meals
The spot is super quiet and beautiful so maybe if they just stick to a set menu and 1 daily special or something it would be better since as travelers is not like we will be able to try them all anyway :)
Pros: Nice spot, vegetarian options
Cons: Inconsistent with the food

Really lovely place full of plants - Edit
Don't understand the comments about pricy food, they do have mains for 45q.Of course Street food is always cheaper than sitting down in a nice restaurant.I like spending a bit more on quality food and interesting New vegan recipes. They change menu everyday at Maracuja and also have yummy Desserts for takeaway

Just ok and very pricey - Edit
They have amazing garden terrace, cool options of fresh juices.
Read moreWe ordered 2 main dishes and appetizer. One was really good, another not good at all and they forgot about appetizer. Staff was really nice tho, they didn't charge us for the meal we don't like.
Anyway, place is really expensive for this city! Really, one meal Q70! For this price you can eat at least 3 meals in different restaurant. Right behind the corner they sell veggie tacos for Q10, you can ask to make it without cheese and easly make it vegan. On the bridge everyday is local food market, they sell local food Q5 and they have plenty of delicious vegeterian options, if you speak basic Spanish, no problem to eat vegan there.

The best vegetarian restaurant in Petén - Edit
Really tasty and quality food. They are concerned about changing the menu constantly and giving new options to the customers. Valeri (manager) is a great person. The place is an oasis in the middle of the town; full of plants and flowers.

I love this place - Edit
You have to eat at Maracuyá if you are in Flores!
Read moreThe menu changes every night and is cooked to order.
The fruit juices and smoothies are so delicious too. I recommend the Curcuma or the Radiante for drinks to try. Also the Vegan cookies are yummy too and they have a big list of teas and infusions that can be made.
They have breakfast with a couple Vegan options too.
Everything except for the eggs at breakfast can be made Vegan, so just ask them.
The portion sizes are big too, which I love, as I have a huge appetite. So the value for money is really great.
Such a wonderful place, lovely staff and such a beautiful patio to sit at.
Pros: Great food; big portions, Beautiful patio, Delicious drinks

Great spot to chill and enjoy delicious food! - Edit
Popped in late afternoon for a cold drink and a snack and settled on Jamaica juice and small roasted potatoes in paprika with homemade red sauce. Delicious and reasonably priced. Love the roof top garden and seating area with hammocks ! Looked at the evening menu which had vegan options as well. Would definitely come back for a lunch or supper. Definitely recommended!

Okayish food and place (think before going there) - Edit
We went there 3 people on the 2nd of Jan at 12ish and had some juices and daily options. Pick the right juice or smoothy, cause some of them are not so great, too liquid or too cucumbery. Also the daily dish I ordered got forgotten and came like 20min later than the others, also it took quite a while to make our orders, tho there were no people around. As well one of the dishes missed quinoa (quinoa salad), so was only salad and then I got quinoa later (bold taste) and had to pay for that (tho I finished). Most of the food tasted bold and not spiced enough.

The place is lovely! Well decorated, full of plants, with a nice view of the lake .. very relaxing. Staff is nice and friendly. They have lots of juices and 2 plant base types of milk (almond and soy). In terms of food, the offer changes everyday: there are several options which are mostly vegan or can be made vegan (just they want add the cheese).

Nice location, food alright. - Edit
Food was pretty tasty I got a curry. Think the menu may change regularly. The location is the best part of this place overlooking the lake with a great view. The staff are friendly too. But not many options to choose from on the menu and Vegan options are clearly listed.

Worth the trip - Edit
Flores is ringed by a road that often floods, and when it floods it doesn't drain. Maracuya sits on that road, so the only way to access the restaurant is by weaving through back roads and then walking across wooden planks that sit above the sidewalk and keep your feet dry unless you exercise incredibly poor judgment and step into the street. Thus it was that by the time we found the restaurant, my shoes were thoroughly soaked.
Read moreWe were greeted by an Angeleno who was able to explain the menu to us in our mutual Californian language. There weren't a lot of options, but he offered his recommendations, and everything sounded good. We headed upstairs to the deck.
It was too dark to see the water, and in fact the upstairs was so poorly lit that we really couldn't see what we were eating. We were the only customers in the restaurant, surprising as the food was pretty good (other than the clumpy cold pasta...apparently the cook was unfamiliar with the process of preparing spaghetti).
The decor is pleasant, plant-filled and relaxing. Unrelated to the food: there are a couple of bathrooms at one end of the deck. Adjacent to those is a hole about 3 feet in diameter. So if you're not careful when you step out of the bathroom, you could easily end up on the hard floor below. Things you would not see in a restaurant at home but part of the experience!
Pros: Plant-filled setting, Good veggie food, Really nice people working there
Cons: Fairly limited menu, Too dark to see what we were eating!

A little piece of paradise - Edit
Best veggie place in Flores and in Guatemala! The view from the rooftop is stunning, there are trees and plants everywhere making the atmosphere so calming and chilled. Staff is lovely, they prepare everything themselves so waiting time is a bit more than usual. The vegan pancakes were delicious, especially the toppings served with it - homemade jam, local fresh fruit and nuts and maple syrup.

Everything is freshly prepared. They have a daily varying food menue and offer a wide range of smoothies and fresh juices (or you create your own). You also get a fruit platter before your food is served.
Also the staff is really kind! Definitely a must-go-to!

A very nice restaurant, a little bit hidden, but definitely worth going. They have tasty smoothies and always some good food options on the board. Everything is freshly made, so it may take some time, but it is worth waiting. The terrace on the top is very nice with a good view on the lake. Definitely recommended!

Little restaurant with cool interior. It's a little hidden, you have to go down one small street and go to the left. One can sit on the rooftop with great view on lake Petén Itzá. Menu is available in English. I chose Avocado Pasta and the portion was huge and tasted amazing. Definitely recommend!!
