Gorgeous food - Edit
I was so excited to try this place and I’m so glad I did before I had to leave Reykjavik. I had the stew/curry of the day which came with rice. The portion was huge (I ate it all though 🙈) and it was incredibly delicious. One of the best things I’ve eaten in Reykjavik.

This is soooooo good. We had the African stew which was just amazing, a delectable vegan stew made of peanuts potatoes rice spicy stuff, the hummus which was freshly made, and the rainbow salad which was absolutely delicious. We finished it off with the peanut butter ice cream. I can’t wait to come back tomorrow to try some more stuff, this is exactly what I wanted, a completely vegan place with delicious food.

Cosy cafe with a hippyish vibe. I had the dahl, which is a permanent fixture on the menu. It was absolutely delicious - served with rice, fresh mini plum tomatoes and some kind of yoghurt or cream, and very filling and warming. On another visit, had the amazing cheesecake - served with blueberries and salted peanuts. Very central, and worth more than a few visits if you’re in Reykjavik for a while!

We had a fantastic peanut curry and a carrot coconut milk based soup in an upstairs room with groovy ambiance! Several good options. Definitely worth a visit.

We went there to have some cake - as it was sold out, they offered us nice cream instead for the same price. It was very delicious and we enjoyed our time here! It is not cheap but we're still in Iceland 😂

Mama is a cosy 100% vegan restaurant. They have few but delicious dishes, and a menu which changes week by week. You find options like salads, soups and casseroles. They also offer cold and hot drinks,cakes and desserts. Nice place where to chill out and enjoy a good filling and vegan meal!

Read moreI shared a soup (carrot, beet, and sweet potato) and a lentil broccoli stew (served over white rice). Both were absolutely delicious and so flavorful! The soup was especially good, and it came with a slice of toasted bread and some hummus.
The owner speaks perfect English and was also extremely kind, welcoming, and friendly. Great spot!
