Chickpea-carrot-fritters - Edit
The dish is served in a frying pan (caution: hot), which is nice because the food will stay warm while you eat.

Great for travelling with omnivores - Edit
Only 1 vegan option but it’s delicious! A good option if you’re traveling with omnivores looking for traditional Icelandic food. I wouldn’t go out of your way if you’re a vegan traveling solo.

Just ok! - Edit
My partner and I headed here as a result of the MANY positive reviews. This restaurant has one vegan offering that included fritters & some cooked veg. While it was filling, it was also very expensive and pretty oily. A good option for veg folks who may be traveling with non veg eaters!

Worth a visit for the vegan main - Edit
Ok so you’re not awash with options. BUT. Worth a visit for the sole main, a chickpea and carrot fritter done in an oven baked pan with loads of fresh roasted veggies. The other reviews say it all really, went on the basis of those and it lived up to expectation.
Read moreHad bread as a “starter”, the pesto is vegan and they swapped out butter for olive oil on request.
Be sure to book in advance, it’s popular. Can easily be done online via the restaurant website.
Pros: The vegan skillet pan based fritter with veg, Atmosphere
Cons: Was about £100 for a meal for 2 with 4x drinks, Suggest book in advance via website

One dish, but they do it excellently - Edit
So good, we had to stop ourselves from licking the plate! Just one vegan main, but it is delicious. Chickpea & Carrot Fritters, served with lots of veggies and tomato hummus. It comes in a skillet that’s still sizzling as they set it on your table. Note it is cooked in a sizable amount of oil, but for us that is what made it so delicious. It’s a popular place, so reservations are recommended for high season and weekends, but it does have a good amount of seating. Nice ambiance and decor, a rustic nautical theme. Could dress up or down.

Limited choices, but good - Edit
Only one vegan choice on the menu but it was quite good. Not only that, but the portion was very generous.

Delicious meal in a bubbling skillet - Edit
My vegan chickpea fritter was presented beautifully and bountifully in a hot bubbling skillet. The fritter was perfectly seasoned and there was a huge variety of colorful vegetables.

Value for money - Edit
Their one vegan dish was very delicious and rough-looking served on a pan. Can easily be bought as a main dish since there was a lot of food.

Vegan option is absolutely delicious! - Edit
Although this restaurant only has one vegan option for the main course (chickpea and carrot fritters with tomato hummus and veggies) it is incredibly good! The flavours were really delicious and we were very impressed. The atmosphere is nice and service was good. We also had the vegan dessert (mixed berries and nuts with maple syrup), which was pretty basic, but also good. And prices aren't too outrageous compared to many restaurants in Reykjavík. Highly recommend this place!

The food is quite good but also quite salty and fatty. The service is amendable (the red wine was too warm, waiting 20 minutes for the bill...). Nevertheless compared to other restaurants in Reykjavík a good choice for a vegan dinner.
