Has a traditional menu, that is eat in only, and includes 2 vegan/vegetarian dishes. Even has vegan prawn crackers. The lunch special (changes daily) can always be made vegan. Open Wed-Sun 15:00-20:30. Closed Mon - Tues.

Good Malaysian food - Edit
Update August 2024: downgraded to 3 stars as just had again after almost 2 year gap and the flavours are just too sweet for me. Also prices have gone up. Good that the menu (and the amount of vegan options) seem to have stayed the same. Probably still the best vegan option in Kinsale.
Read moreOriginal review October 2022: I had seen this place on happy cow, but wasn't sure if it was still around as there has been no reviews in the last 2 years. I'm glad to say they're still open and still have many vegan options. Downside now is that they are takeout only (perhaps because of COVID?) It's a little hidden in the square where it's located but well worth a visit. Great to have so many vegan options, and even vegan desserts (although we didn't try them this time). It was nice to have a choice between tofu and seitan for a change.

Tasty vegan options - Edit
Not a vegan restaurant, but very accommodating for us vegans. They don’t have Wi-Fi, but if you sit by the front door, and the booth to the right by the window, you can bounce Wi-Fi off a neighboring stores, if you run airplane mode like we do. Very friendly and patient staff and the restaurant was very clean.

The mee goreng was so tasty. Great that you can pick veg, tofu or seitan. Most of the menu can be made vegan. Really good find in kinsale.

Take-out / bistro that serves a variety of vegan dishes. The samosas (#1) were a good starter and the udon noodles with black bean sauce (#14) with seitan were fantastic!

Read morenoodle dishes here for Saturday night supper, was pretty tasty. Vegan items clearly marked on the menu. (Was a rainy day in Kinsale and they don't have inside seating unfortunately.)

Between this location and the one in the city, this is a favorite place to eat.

I’ve noticed that despite having the Vegan symbol on dishes it can contain eggs. You need to stress it’s vegan when ordering and they will accommodate.
Do not leave it to chance!
In the city branch they sprinkled dairy cheese over an order of mine, so speak up!

Such a lucky find! - Edit
Found this restaurant after looking for a bit on an early Sunday evening. My friend and I both went for the Pad Thai - her’s was vegetarian, mine vegan - and I was so happy to see them be able to vegan-ize so many of their dishes! Was an amazing meal on an idyllic, rainy day :)

This place was amazing. There were vegan dishes a-plenty, and each one was delicious. The flavors were bold and perfectly proportioned. I loved the gyozas and the spring rolls, as well as the pineapple fried rice and the Malaysian noodles, but it was the rendang that really took the cake. Mmmmmm it was so good!

We were thrilled to find this wonderful restaurant that had vegetarian options for myself and meat options for my husband and son. The staff was lovely and the food was fast, fresh and delicious. We loved it.
