Voor 25 euro pp kun je een (ochtend) high tea bestellen, wat eerst aan de dure kant lijkt, totdat je ziet wat je krijgt! De rondes waren als volgt: smoothie bowl, pancakes, avocado toast, smoothie en dan nog alle taart en 3 warme dranken naar keuze. Persoonlijk hou ik van veel fruit, wat hier zeker het geval was. De taartjes hebben we bijna allemaal in een doggy bag meegenomen en de rest van de dag van gegeten. Alles smaakt gezond en vult heel erg, wat we ook hadden verwacht en wat dus heel fijn was. Het personeel was ook erg aardig. De locatie is prachtig aan een park, waar je op uitkijkt vanaf het terras.

The drinks menu is quite extensive. I loved the fresh green slow juice and the golden late but their chai is a bit bland.
For lunch we had the burito and dahl soup. Both okay and beautifully presented with edible flowers but the taste of the dishes was not mind-blowing.😉The piece of cake that came with the warm drinks and the banana bread were delicious.

We went for brunch on a sunday. I ordered the tosti, because I was craving one, even though I'm not a big fan of vegan deli 'meat' or cheese. It was delicious! The juice was also very nice. My boyfriend had the avocado toast and he also liked it a lot.

I have been at Mahalo several times both for breakfast and for lunch. Great food and service all the times. It is nicely furnished and the view of the park from there is enchanting. Remarkably, I had there the only good espresso that I had in Groningen. Don't miss the cakes!

Got a sandwich, a lavender cake, coffee, and berry smoothie. All delightful, although the sandwich (which was much more exquisite than what you expect from a 'sandwich'/'toast' could have been more salty or something with cranberries or something. Felt like something missed...

My favourite slow down coffee spot - Edit
Small, warm and relaxed: this is my favourite coffee spot in Groningen. Situated on a corner of the beautiful Noorderplantsoen just take a seat at one of the many windows of this century old small shopbuilding and watch Groningen live. Cyclists, students on their way to the campus, people walking their dog in the park.

The menu is unclear (eg it says sandwich without clarifying what's on it) and my friend and me did not really enjoy our food, especially for the price we paid.
