Yummy veggie hash - Edit
Mad Hatter is a cute and funky cafe in downtown Salisbury. The vegan options are limited, but I was grateful to find something to eat for lunch. I ordered the veggie hash, and it was really tasty. The service was fast and friendly, too. #Veganuary

Updated menu -no vegan selections - Edit
The menu as previously described was recently updated. No vegan options for breakfast and only a salad or two at lunch. Very disappointing….

My brother is the one who used to be the head chef and menu creator. He put a bunch vegan food on menu because of me. Unfortunately when he left they got rid of the vegan stuff

No vegan food - Edit
They just updated the menu and there is basically nothing vegan. No vegan cheese or meat substitutes and the only nondairy milk option was almond milk.

little limited - Edit
cute and funky decor, expansive menu including ramen but not as much veggie/vegan stuff as mentioned apart from veggie sausage (not sure what brand they use or if vegan) and not great options for lunch or breakfast if you dont want salad

Upcharge wazoo - Edit
Upcharge for each vegan item was excessive: would be good to have one vegan breakfast sandwich on menu rather than build each item & end up paying $24. At that price better to not even have it on the menu, made us wish we had chosen somewhere else. Ramen bowl with tofu sounded good, but again $6 upcharge for tofu was hard to accept. Beyond Burger was good: was glad to see no extra charge & vegan cheese automatically came on it (oftentimes vegan burger has no option for vegan cheese; they didn’t have vegan Mayo). Fresh cut fries on menu was misleading: they were definitely wedges, but still tasted good. Staff was very friendly, food tasty, & decor lots of fun with the Alice theme. Go somewhere else if you can: not worth it for burger or noodle bowl, but if you want to hang & have mimosas with friends it’s a good place for that & you can find something.

Cons: Expensive & upcharge for everything vegan, No vegan mayo for burger, Wait to sit & wait for food

Created my own vegan and GF breakfast sandwich. The GF bagel was so soft and so good! Friends had non vegan breakfast of pancakes and breakfast sandwich and were raving! Mad Hatter is worth the visit!!
