Down to earth but good - Edit
Hidden away in an alley, this spot is simple but good. Came for lunch on a Thursday and there were only locals apart from me. Food was cheap and good.

Operated by 2 lovely ladies in there 50s or 60s, this local restaurant offers a fully vegan menu at very affordable prices.
Read moreWe tasted a few different options, and everything ranged from good to very good.
It might not be the absolute best in town, but if you want authentic fully vegan food at local prices, it is clearly worth a visit.
Highly recommended 👌

Loving hut never disappoints - Edit
Com Chay was the 2nd loving hut we visited in Hanoi.
Read moreThe weather was chilly and we ordered a Thai hotpot. Fragrant and delicious with spices, mushrooms, veggies and noodles. The portions were huge. Excellent value for money.
Also ordered the mackerel with five spices dish as well. It was nice.
The owner doesn’t speak English but she’s very friendly. She also sells vegan products like vegan coffee and plant-based meats.

Good food, but - Edit
Certainly have been to other LH and the food is pretty consistent. We got spring rolls that were tasty but so greasy we used all the napkins around to press the grease out. The sweet and sour pork was a little greasy but insanely delicious. Also very good was chikn leg in lemongrass sauce. Ordered a big bowl of rice and still spent under 7€.

Pros: Food

Lovely place - Edit
Personally I'm not into the mysticism but the food was great and it felt good to support such an earnest vegan chain. I also got some vegan 'floss' to take away which was yum

Good price - Edit
I came here to have a quick and cheap meal. It perfectly met expectations. There are several options of local food at decent prices, but a good phở at 40k vnd (Nov 2023) is unbeatable.

GAHHH - Edit
i have been to every loving hut I can and this one didn’t disappoint. despite a language barrier our joy was felt and shared with the staff and the food was great.
Read moreWell priced for what you get, including the typical Loving Hut ambience and energy. The dishes aren’t winning any plating awards but it’s purpose is to fill your belly with yum yum happy vibes anyway- flavour and variety of options on the menu wins any day.
We had three dishes and all were around 60/70k each- yes it’s not as cheap as a street side Bahn Mi but it’s great for a switch up!!
Says they close at 8 but we were there later talking to a travelling family!!
Pros: vegan memorabilia and morals, many options
Cons: fans could be faster/ aircon, should have ordered rice on the side

A cozy relaxed eatery just off bustling streets - Edit
We’ve just arrived to either Vietnam and Hanoi and still shocked by this intense bustling city when felt hungry, but seemed mission impossible to find vegan options with our zero Vietnamese proficiency, so an eureka moment made us thought maybe Happy Cow works here too. We couldn’t believe we’re yards away from this place and their staff were so friendly, helpful and keen on veganism. We’ve not only a delicious noodles and pancakes, but a useful tuition on how to sail through Vietnam as a vegan. Thank you ladies

Little Lunch Stop - Edit
Stumbled upon this place whilst looking for an ATM north of the HCM mausoleum.

Lovely little place - Edit
Happy Cow wasn't suggesting many places in this part of town, and this was the nearest at 600m, but I was wary because of all the negative reviews. These were quite old though, so I thought I'd give it a go. Pleased to report it is clean, bright and spacious. The staff didn't speak English but the menu was in Vietnamese and English, so no problems ordering. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal, which was pretty cheap by Hanoi standards. I would definitely come again.

Unfortunately, we didn't like the place. We came to have lunch, and didn't feel very welcome. A cat was coming out from the kitchen, and we had a fly in our glass of water (which was free though :). The food wasn't tasty, but there was a lot of interesting options😄

Best Vegan Food in Hanoi - Edit
The best Vegan Local food we have had in Hanoi!
Read moreMy husband ordered the vegetable noodles and I ordered the Hue Style Noodles and Summer Rolls and everything was to die for!!
The staff is very friendly and she even gave us a bowl of free rice noodles for the soup. Definitely tops my Loving Huts around the world list!
Don't miss this one for sure on your visit to Hanoi.
We ordered 3 dishes for 1,10,000 dongs and the portions are BIG!
Going back today for dinner again
The location is close to all the sightseeing spots so perfect for a lunch in-between the tours.
