We loved this restaurant so much. The family that’s owns it are lovely, and so is the food. We had to bring our friends, and they agreed with it being the best restaurant in town. Try everything!! Super cheap and everything is so tasty

A super local spot where you get a soup with a few different options of noodles, mock meats, and herbs.
Read moreThey also have spring rolls and delicious grilled mock meats as well as banh mi.
No milk or eggs in any of the dishes.
The owner speaks some English so it's not too difficult to get your food even if it's a very local spot.
You sit on small stools and are surrounded by locals. It's a cool experience, a delicious meal, and it's very affordable.

I found this via TikTok and it didn’t disappoint. Pho was 30k and was possibly the best I’ve had in the whole of Vietnam. A must visit spot in Hanoi for a local experience full of flavour.

This time mushroom floss again, bánh cuốn (steamed rice cake sheets with veg meat and sauce), grilled veg sausages, Bún riêu, Bún chả, passion fruit juice and of course delis cashew milk and yogurt

This place was located right next to our hotel, so we gave it a try. As others have already said, it's a bit chaotic here, especially when there are a lot of guests. Nevertheless, the staff is very dedicated and friendly. However, hardly anyone speaks English here. We had the hot pot and it was a really good meal!

Chay via hè is a mix between a restaurant and street food. You choose your dish, pho, hotpot or spring rolls, and you get it put together right in front of you. It is quite chaotic and very popular with a mix of locals and tourists.
Read moreWe sat on the tiniest chairs we'd ever seen, and that's saying something after two weeks in Vietnam. The pho was hot and tasty with a blend of several mock meats.
I'd say go for the experience alone, but the food is also very good.
