No vegan options (except chips) - Edit
No vegan menu when we visited today (31/8/24), be good to see the small vegan menu return. Sign on menu board stating that all items except chips are fried in same oil as meat.

Tasty takeaway - Edit
Really enjoyed the battered sausage and chips we got from here - we had chips from another award winning chip shop nearby and these were better!

Vausages and chips, cooked in veg oil ✔️ - Edit
The menu board above the counter doesn't mention it, but they do have the vegan sausages. It does say that everything's cooked in vegetable oil.

Vegan friendly chippy - Edit
Great to see a chip shop in Tynemouth that caters for vegans. I ordered mince pie and chips, which was delicious. I would love to see a vegan fish added but I can't fault what I had. All vegan options are fried separately by the way.
Read moreStaff are very friendly and vegan aware and the fish shop is located close to the beach and the Priory if you wanted to make a day of it.
Pros: Tasty vegan options, Location, Staff
Cons: More vegan options please

Delicious chips - Edit
Chips specifically cooked to a vegan recipe which is reassuring. They also have several other vegan options in case a chip butty doesn’t take your fancy.

Cons: No vegan butter for the butty
