Yum! - Edit
I had the vegan chicken sandwich, toasted, and a cappuccino. Both were great! We also had a mini carrot cake which was good and not too sweet. Very good meal! The vibe in here is cool, it’s like you’re in someone’s house.

Add this to your trip - Edit
Delicious sausage rolls and so many tasty sweet treats in the cabinet.
Read moreI had the award winning rendang pie. The filling was delightful and the pastry was top notch. With some more sauce/moisture it would have been perfection.
The chap that served us was very nice too :).
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Good value for money, Great service
Cons: Pie needs more sauce (e.g. on side), Confusing labelling (v, v+ are both vegan)

Logan doesn’t live here - Edit
Accidentally stumbled across this place whilst trying to find my boyfriend Logan. This isn’t his house, but I got distracted by the vegan food (including pies!!) so I forgot about him. Logan if you see this please call me. Have weekly takeaway plant based burger nights

My girlfriend bought me a toastie here once to remind me of any ancestral homeland. Great use of pickle in it!

Amazing food & service - Edit
Friendly, welcoming and attentive Cafe. Can cater to all needs. Owners vegan and vegetarian. Food VERY tasty and very well priced. Good selection of loose leaf teas. Coffee faultless and very well done. Sustainability clearly important as they use pre-loved decor and mugs etc. Must visit!
Read moreNote: would rate 5 star but they have pork on menu. They are dropping all meat products next week however, so will be fully vegan/vegetarian.
Pros: Many vegan options in cabinet and on menu

Amazing beyond meat burger - Edit
Stopped in Sunday for lunch. They had minimal vegan cabinet food but upon further enquiry, one of the staff members asked what seemed to be the owner or manager and we were able to order off a vegan menu which is usually reserved for Fridays. The menu had many types of burgers, a hot dog and some sides - exactly the kind of food I love, I’m not a fan of salads and raw slices! We had the beyond meat burgers ($16) and added fries (burgers usually comes with egg but they were out). The burger was absolutely delicious - bacon, cheese, relish, pickles, salad, mayo. They really piled on the ingredients so deff worth the money. Can’t wait to return and try something else off the vegan menu. There is also outdoor seating so we could have our dog with us and there was a bowl of water. Would be great if the vegan menu was more readily available, or at least a condensed version. I think this would become a little vegan hotspot if it was more advertised 💚

Don’t make my mistake - Edit
Saw the menu on their window when the cafe was closed with delishious looking burger menu including Beyond burger. Drive out all the way from Marsden for a burger brunch — turns out the menu advertised only applies for one evening per week! No other vegan burgers in the whole town. So hungry and disappointed! 😢

Vegan heaven in a cafe - Edit
Amazing café! Would rate 5 if I could. Great to have so many vegan options to choose from (many GF as well). Everything was so delicious and flavoursome that we ended up stopping here for lunch on our way up and down. Many of the items you wouldn't even know were vegan - so I'm sure non vegans and vegos would love it too. On top of that, the service was incredible and the owner was so lovely. Would consider moving to Waipu just to eat here all the time.

Lots of vegan options! - Edit
My partner and I got to Waipu and visited Logan MacLean just before they closed. The staff graciously asked if we’d like to eat lunch in the cafe as opposed to taking away. We were impressed with their range of delicious looking vegan options; in fact most of the cabinet was vegan. We ordered a bean-based sausage roll, ‘missed steak’ and cheese pie, wrap with roasted vegetables and aioli, and a pizza slice. The food was tasty, and pretty good value for money (especially the large pizza slice with plenty of toppings for $5). Unfortunately we forgot to take photos. We liked to see that Logan MacLean also sold Dirty Hippie soaps. As we were leaving, one of the staff came out and gave us two vegan cookies (chocolate, oat and nuts) and a red curry pie with seitan, for free! Of course we don’t expect to eat in the cafe after hours and have free food every time! We really appreciated it though and will certainly be back on our next road trip up North.

Yummy extraordinary vegan food - Edit
I was here a few days ago while passing through Waipu. The vegan food they have is really special, not the usual stuff you get in cafes in my experience. I wanted to get a pizza but unfortunately all choices had onions in it (I detest them with a passion) so O got a Cauliflower and Eggplant ‚toastie‘ which was really delicious! They also have outdoor seating and a cosy atmosphere. Prices are OK in my opinion. Go here if you pass through!

Not the usual boring options! - Edit
We had the vegan mock BBQ duck baguette (they also do "meatball" subs with vegan cheese) and amazing dark chocolate vegan biscuits. Yummy chai latte with oat milk. And more! They also sell Dirty Hippie products. Highly recommend this place and the vegan pizza down the road in Waipu Cove!

Cons: More vegan cakes and slices please., Toilets across the road.
