Delicious vegan pizza - Edit
At the Cove Cafe you can choose from a variety of vegan options. We went for the vegan vegetable pizza and ate it on the beautiful beach next to the cafe. Worth a visit!

Good - Edit
Good selection of vegan slices and cakes. Reasonable coffee. Lots of vegan options, including specific vegan menu. Food was okay, not amazing, but much better than most country towns.

Not a cave - Edit
Thought this place was called cave and was bitterly disappointed when I realised there was going to be no caving at dinner. Was still able to use my headlamp to romantically light our table so not a complete loss. Fafalel burger and vegan patch pizza were illuminated beautifully.

Great setting, some good vegan choices - Edit
Buddha bowl was quite nice, burger a little oily, chips were nice. Several other items had vegan options.

Great selection of plant based options - Edit
I got the Buddha Bowl. It was fresh, tasty (and gluten free) and would definitely order it again... might have to go back a few times as there are other vegan options that looked amazing too.

A much appreciated surprise - Edit
Wandered into The Cove while camping at Waipu thinking we may be able to get just some chips and a drink as a snack but asked if they could veganise anything anyway. This is when they broke out the full vegan menu with a heap of options. The pizza was fantastic and the gluten free base was really good. We also ordered some Spanish potatoes which possibly the best potatoes I've ever had and I eat A LOT of potatoes.

Cons: They serve meat
