Epic pancakes - Edit
This is now called Chris’ Kitchen. It’s a cute little cafe located in Carlisle, making amazing vegan and gluten free food. They don’t have a set menu but offer a huge selection of items in their cabinet, including stunning raw treats, cakes and slices, a variety of freshly made salads, fritters, burgers, rice paper rolls and soups. They also serve EPIC pancakes on Saturdays only, and have a number of frozen meals that you can take home, such as ratatouille, curry and pasta.
Read moreThey even have packaged vegan pizzas ($14, not GF) that you can take home and bake! I took home the Jamaican Jerk one (with tempeh and pineapple)- it was really delicious and had a nice crispy base.
There are two pancake flavours:
🌱Snickers: with banana, caramel sauce, peanut butter sauce, crushed peanuts, snickers bar pieces, topped with chocolate 😍
🌱Ferrero Rocher: choc pancakes with bananas, caramel sauce, choc hazelnut sauce, berry jam and crushed hazelnuts and ferrero pieces, topped with chocolate.
Both were amazing, as I’m sure you can tell by the pics 😍 And don’t ask if I have a favourite because they were both equally delicious! I loved the chocolate sauce on top that goes hard and cracks, reminded me of the Ice Magic I loved as a kid!

Feel like this business just wants to do catering and their shop is a second thought. They've recently removed their tables a and chairs, and reduced their menu by half. Food is portioned quite small now too.

Let me start by saying, I used to love this place. Now their hours have changed, they don't do pancakes, food portions and quality has gone down. When I come in the morning half an hour after they've opened, they never have anything because it's not ready yet? Last time I got a salad, the potato's in the salad weren't even cooked. Food has become oily and salty now too, maybe there are new owners?

The premises may be compact in size as is the menu but what is on offer is nice and fresh. I had a cabbage, carrot and kale coleslaw; a quinoa and chickpea; and sweet potato pattie. A bowlful that was refreshing and reasonably priced. Plenty of sweet slices to choose from. Something to look forward to next visit.

I usually don’t like salads but their salads are AMAZING! I had the rainbow salad and quinoa salad with the black bean burger patty (also so yummy). Highly recommend!!

Here's a little surprise down a quiet street in the suburbs. I loved the quaintness of the place and was bowled over by how delicious my meal was. Definitely a great find to re-visit.

The scent of healthy - Edit
As soon as I walked in the scent of the cafe was amazing. It’s hard to explain but it smelt healthy. No stinky oils or animal flesh. The salads were tasty and the pricing was reasonable. It was tricky to spot whilst driving but it’s directly opposite UltraTune.

The buckwheat pancakes (served with delicious coconut ice-cream) are awesome! Affordable lunch options and friendly staff though there’s not much seating space. Will definitely be back to try other options on the menu though.

I love this place. It makes eating vegan so easy and delicious. There are lots of beautiful, healthy choices for lunch, and the vegan pancakes which are available on select days are incredible.

Opening hours on happy cow are wrong, this place opens at 9am every day and is further down Archer st. than it looks on the map. Perfect place to eat in or grab and go for lunch. I found the prices really reasonable $12.20 for a fantastic lunch box of salads and rice paper rolls. Plus I got the berry smoothie which was great. The dessert display is incredible, i was so tempted. If I'm ever back in Perth I will definitely come back!

The cutest little shop with really fresh and yummy lunches and the most beautiful vegan cakes that actually taste as good as they look!

Prices are very reasonable and service is friendly.

I love the food here. Simple, wholesome, filling. Great selection of salads everyday, raw pizza, addictive spring rolls. They have the best selection of raw desserts in perth too! There's always so much to choose from. And their snickers pancakes...Omg!
