Limited WFPB/vegan options but delicious! - Edit
I had the Muhammara on toast, which is a blended topping made of blistered capsicum, walnut, pomegranate, coriander, Aleppo pepper. It was absolutely delicious and highly recommended. I added some roasted tomatoes and cooked spinach as sides and it was a thoroughly enjoyable plate.
Read moreThe focus at Laika is coffee and this was, of course, absolutely excellent. It's a big place, but does fill up at popular times. I'd recommend booking a table via their website.
On the current menu there's 1 other straight up vegan option (quinoa porridge) and another 4 adult and 1 kids menu items that have options to make vegan.

Vegan crumpets - Edit
I tried the vegan crumpets from - topped with grilled banana, mixed berries, freeze dried raspberries, maple syrup and coconut yogurt ($17) - absolutely delicious!
Read moreLaika is a spacious cafe with a large grassed outdoor seating area and even a basketball court attached (great for keeping kids entertained!).
Other vegan options on their menu include quinoa porridge, beetroot hummus (with mushrooms, broccolini & sweet potato crisps), avo smash and a breakfast stack. The crumpets also come as a smaller version on the kids menu.

This place is close to my work so I often stop by either by myself or with colleagues. I've tried the brunch pasta, which was tasty but nothing to rave on about. The peanut butter smoothie with oat milk though is excellent. I order that as my drink each time I'm at Laika.
Read moreIf you're a coffee afficionado, the baristas here are great. The milk in the coffee is always so silky! This is probably the best selling point of this cafe.
