Serves meat, vegan options available. A small summer-only cafe on Sulosaari Island offers vegan pancakes. Follow Kalliolinna signs from the Spahotel Casino. Serves small snacks, tea and coffee but the main attraction are the pancakes. The cafe's name literally means pancake cafe. Also has gluten free choices. English is spoken. Open Mon-Sun 10:00-19:00.

I'm a regular - Edit
This place is perfect to enjoy a summer treat or a meal. I've tasted both sweet and savory crepes, both have been so tasty! Workers are super friendly and they know how to take allergies into concideration.
Read moreYou can request that your crepes are baked on a separate allergen-free pan. Heating that up takes a while, so you'll have to wait for your crepes longer. So if you're and in a hurry and youre okay with your crepes being baked on the same pans as the non-vegan crepes, I'd suggest that.
Pros: many sweet options, scenic but easily attainable location, super kind staff
Cons: only vegan protein is hummus, using allergen-free pan makes waiting time longer

Mixed feelings - Edit
I had kind of mixed feelings about our visit at the cafe. The location is awesome, a cute old house on a beautiful small island where you walk or ride your bike across several bridges. The service was friendly and they had tons of vegan toppings to choose from.
Read moreBut it takes a really really long time to get your crepe and if you order several vegan ones they can only bring them out one at a time, since they only have one pan they use for the vegan ones. And you have to specify that you actually do want your vegan crepe made in a separate pan, not mixed with the regular ones.
The crepes were quite nice, the vegan ones are also gluten free so there was a bit of a buckwheaty aftertaste. I just wish the whole cafe was vegan so they could make the crepes more efficiently and also make a non gluten free vegan option.

:-) - Edit
A lot of vegan toppings to choose from. No vegan ”tax” - vegan and non-vegan options had the same price!

Delicious vegan crepes in a beautiful environment - Edit
We had one crepe with blueberry jam, cloudberry jam and vegan whipped cream, second with peanut butter, blueberry jam and vegan whipped cream and third with strawberry jam and vegan whipped cream.
Read moreVegan batter is also gluten free which is great if you have to avoid gluten but it tasted a bit like buckwheat. I didn’t taste it with topping though and the jams were very good quality.
The cafe is in a really beautiful place on an island and it is accessible with a stroller.
Pros: Endless tasty vegan options , Delicious toppings , Beautiful place
Cons: Vegan batter is also gluten free

Highly recommended! - Edit
Great Cafe to Eat pancakes: Sweet and hearty ones. Vegan Option available. I Tried a Sweet one with cream and strawberry Jam and a hearty one with Humus, sweet Chili Sauce and artichokes. Both just great! And the scenery around, the House itself and the very nice staff - highly recommended!

Nice pancakes, beautiful surroundings - Edit
I was happy to learn that this small summer cafe offers vegan pancakes if you just ask for them! They should have a vegan dough every day, but in case they don't, they said they would whip it up as you wait.

Just sit back and enjoy the beautiful scenery in this small cafe.
Pros: great service, vegan pancakes
Cons: not all vegetarian/vegan
