Nice vegetarian lunch buffet near university - Edit
Good vegetarian lunch buffet with many vegan options, including salads, bread and warm dishes such as curries, noodle dishes or falafel. As much Coffee and cookies as you want, are also included. For around 100kr, which is pretty cheap in comparison to prices for similar buffets in Stockholm.
Read moreIt is full during lunch time but normally there is enough space to sit down (there are also tables in the basement).
Pros: Many vegan options, All-you-can eat, Yummy food
Cons: Can be full

Good buffet - Edit
Nice place with good buffet. Tasty food and good price. When I was there, several dishes were not vegan although I think that they could have easily been made vegan.

Légume - Edit
Great vegetarian lunch buffet. Most options are vegan. Salad bar, bread and some warm dishes, and often offering some soup. Coffee and cookies are included! Unfortunately they are only open for lunch. In the evening the facilities are instead used by the shot bar "Shotluckan".

Awesome buffet with lots of vegan options - Edit
Nice and cozy buffet in the center of Uppsala. They have a lot of plant-based options, including some Swedish classics such as meatballs. It is fairly priced for Swedish standards. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. I ate until I was stuffed.

Nice buffet selection at a reduced price - Edit
The lunch menu includes a buffet with a wide selection of cold dishes and some (4-6) hot dishes. Most of them are vegan, and those that aren't (on the particular day we were there, only the lasagne was vegetarian) are clearly indicated.
Read moreThe environment is good, and there are student discounts available on weekdays.
Pros: Wide selection of food in the buffet, Cheap price, Allergens indicated

Vegetarian self serve buffet with tasty vegan options - Edit
Relaxed environment and friendly staff. We used student discounts and went up for third portions so very good value for money! There is a good salad bar and a few hot dishes and it's about 50/50 vegetarian and vegan but I had plenty to eat. Nice vegan curry with rice and onion bhajis.

Cons: Food isn't super hot

Ate lunch. A large part of the dishes included cheese/milk/egg. This kind of version of ”vegetarian” restaurant is not good enough 2019, will not return.

Vegetarian restaurant with plenty of vegan options in buffé style. Always a soup of the day and sometimes smoothie too. Free coffee/ tea after but not always vegan biscuits.

nice food - Edit
I really liked the food, it tasted amazing. They've mostly got sallads but they've also got a stew( beans and vegetables ) and a non-vegan lasagne. I think it's sad that they're not a fully vegan place, when they've got only ONE course that's not, I mean it should be pretty easy to replace it with something vegan.

Food is very good, usually a lot of vegan options. Their buffé has been a bit different the times I have been there, which I think is great. They always put signs telling you what is non-vegan and if it contains gluten etc.

Good! - Edit
It's not fancy, at all. Some dishes are better than others, yes. But I really enjoy Legume. "Almost vegan" is the best you can get in Uppsala (for the moment I hope!) and it's a nice place with friendly staff.

Good, but improvement is needed - Edit
I've been to Legume twice since it opened. It is a very good thing that Uppsala got it second vegetarian restaurant - it's long overdue!
Read moreThe restaurant's style is simple. Not very much has been invested (so far?) in regards to interior decorating. This has consequences in regard to the acoustic conditions (it gets very loud).
Now, on to the food. The buffé is rich, but lacks in seasoning. The falafel is quite hard and the spinach in the pasta rolls could without doubt get a double checking in regard to taste and texture - salt, anyone?
The question of seasoning, salt och texture goes for pretty much everything, starting with the cold dishes such as the olive tapenade which at Legume was almost (I hate to say it) disgusting...
I however adore the hummus and love to oven cooked potatoes. I would love to come back here for a third and fourth meal when the restaurant has had more time to settle and perfected their dishes and interior comfort.
Pros: Nice outside, Friendly staff, Great potential to be the best in town
Cons: Noisy inside, Lack of seasoning (herbs, salt etc), No red tea is served (better for veg)
