Fine in a pinch

Surprisingly LPQ in USA has fewer vegan options than its French counterparts I've been to. While i personally would rather get a lox sandwich at Zucker's next door, what they have is good!

Good vegan and GF options

Nice place for salads, open faced sandwiches (normal and GF bread), zoodles, hot tea, etc. Large seating area.

Pros: Vegan options, GF bread is also vegan (it's rare to find this), Great place to meet friends

Cons: Like most things in Midtown, it's not open late

Nice table seating and vegan options

LPQ (Le Pain Quotidien) is a very fine chain that offer healthy, organic food with some clearly marked vegan options. This branch is down the block from the UN. In addition to its array of breads, it offers some nice grab & go vegan items as well as waiter-served vegan meals. As with all their branches, this one is clean, nicely lit, and casual/comfortable.

The food here is always good, though frankly the vegan food in some nearby places is better. What distinguishes this place from others in the area is that it has a bunch of tables and chair for relaxed meals with friends. Most of the other places listed on Happy Cow in the nearby vicinity are much more cramped, with either no seating or uncomfortable seating (the closest other option listed on HC with nice tables and seats is Wagamama on 39th Street).

Pros: Good organic, healthy food., Some nice vegan selections., Tables + places to sit, clean, comfortable.

Cons: Could have more vegan offerings.
