Good restaurant with great breakfast - Edit
I went here for breakfast and had a coconut coffee and fruit/granola/yoghurt. The latter was not vegan but it was a massive portion and really filling! I did have to pay extra for the coconut coffee as it's a speciality but normally you'd get a coffee/tea for free with every breakfast. Really enjoyed eating here.

Decent - Edit
The coconut coffee with soy milk was tasty, the Latte with soy milk tasted weird and the portion was very small. I also tried the Banana/Cacao Milkshake with soymilk which was decent.
Read moreThe atmosphere (outside) was nice and overall it was okay but rather expensive.

Bad Coffee - Edit
I didn't like the vietnamese coffees, they had a weird after taste. I also ordered the tiramisu. It had no flavour. The atmosphere is nice but that's it. Also it was a bit more pricier than other cafes.

Pretty average - Edit
Ended up here after the night train to Lao Cai and bus to Sapa. Food was pretty bland and not many veg options. Coffee was also pretty ordinary. Limited other options in Sapa in early morning however.

Great lunch spot - Edit
There are 2 locations: I visited the one overlooking the lake next to Anise bakery.
Read moreA few veggie options, such as baguette, pasta, mushrooms and rice. I had a simple salad baguette which was lovely warm, crusty bread (79k) and English breakfast tea with soy (35k)
The gentleman who served us was very accommodating and changed some dishes to make them vegan.
Soy milk is available for teas and coffees.
For the faint hearted: there are some hotpot places in view that, at certain times of the day, you can see people throwing sturgeon (I think) onto the pavement and bashing them to kill them.

The staff were very attentive and remembered that I was vegan the second time we went. They adapted meals for me and they were delicious.

good food - Edit
Food was very tasty. I had ordered veg sphagetti and wheat noodle with vegetables. Both were good. The veggies were fresh and service was very good. I would say it is a must try for vegetarians.

Not good - Edit
If you really needed to eat here you could. But I wouldn’t recommend it. Had a couple of the veggie options- eggplant curry and noodle soup. They weren’t worth it.

Ok - Edit
The Toscana Bruschetta was tasty, I also had the Fried Springrolls, they were ok. The thing is, I am not sure, if they are really vegan, because the Waiter could not speak very good English. My partner was not happy with his pasta, too. If I would go there again, I'd take two portions of Bruschetta. The tea was good.

Always good food and a nice atmosphere - Edit
I ate in Le Gecko and Le Petit Gecko at least 4-5 times during my visit in Sapa. They were both very cosy restaurants. The sticky rice and fresh spring rolls are delicious. One of the days I ordered a sandwich without cheese and a coconut coffee without milk and the waiter understood I wouldn't want mayonaise or condensed milk (often comes with coconut coffee). They have lots of vegetarians options, many of which are also vegan (like the delicious toscana bruschetta, fresh spring rolls, sticky rice, etc.)
