Wonderful

The ambience is really nice, dishes were great. Wait staff were great but the host was extremely serious and unfriendly 😬

Wow!

We dined here the week after their "soft" opening. This is another winner from Chef Guy Vaknin and City Roots Hospitality. This is a stunningly chic restaurant with top notch service (and prices reflect this). The menu is a ‘muscular’ (lots of innovative faux meats) vegan version of Basque cuisine.

The food was full-flavored and tasty. Many items are grilled with a pleasant light smokiness. The texture of the “chicken” in the chicken paella was good without being tough or rubbery. And unlike many current vegan restaurants, they have a nice selection of actual vegetables - and lots of them. We had the heirloom tomato salad, grilled mushrooms, grilled leeks/scallions/onions, and grill asparagus. All were delicious.

On the beverage side, my cucumber mocktail was really good and my companion was please with the wine. Sadly, I did not have time for dessert, but I will return soon to remedy this omission.
