I am wondering why this location has an entry on happy cow.

Promotes vegan meals but was little understanding - Edit
This restaurant had “vegan options” on their promo signs outside. Looked at their menu and saw that several things could be made vegan with cashew cheese instead of cheese etc. It came to be ordering and I asked for a meal that said on the menu could be made vegan and the waiter said it wasn’t possible to be made vegan only the cherry tomato pasta was vegan which wasn’t listed as a vegan option to which I was confused but okay. The quinoa croquettes someone put a picture of on here are made with cheese and bacon so they must have changed the menu now as wasn’t listed as being able to make a vegan option. 20 mins later my sisters food was bought out at which time the waiter said to me, “you’re vegan? So that means you can’t have eggs right?” And I said no eggs and then my sister had finished her meal when my dish of pasta in tomato sauce arrived with a few cherry tomatoes on top. There was no seasoning. I’d have understood if they didn’t promote having vegan meals and I’d asked for something different than on the menu but that wasn’t the case. There are much better places in Arequipa and whilst the food was okay, I’m not sure the chefs are interested?

A decent vegan pizza - Edit
I ordered quinoa pizza which came with tomato and avocado sauce (didn't notice the cashew sauce) and the base which was a bit too crispy for my taste (30 bs.).

Gutes Ambiente & leckeres Essen - Edit
Dieses kleine Restaurant ist für seine Lage, das kunstvolle Ambiente ziemlich günstig. Pasta kostet im Durchschnitt S./18. Brot mit Balsamico als Vorspeise ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Not for vegans - Edit
Only vegan option was a gluten free pizza whose dough tasted raw and whose "avocado cheese" was no more than plain avocado. I felt really cheated and only ate the whole thing 'cause I didn't want to waste the money (the place is not cheap). But in the end I didn't want to take another bite of the avocado toast they called "pizza" (c'mon, it didn't even have tomato sauce on it!).

Disappointed - Edit
We ordered the only vegan pizza on the menu. It's with avocado cheese, beetroot leaves and cashew cheese. First we got the wrong drinks. Then we only got one of two pizzas. It was cold and hard. Also it turned out, that "avocado cheese" is really just avocado and "cashew cheese" are really just cashews. That was a bit disappointing. Since we didn't really like the pizza we also didn't complain about the missing one. When we were done, the second pizza arrived. This time it was even warm and the dough was a bit more soft. That made us think, that the first pizza we got was a leftover that was standing around for some time. We didn't have to pay the second pizza, which was a nice move from which we believe was the owner. We won't come again though.

really liked the vegan options - Edit
We had lunch here and took the vegan sandwich with tomato, lettuce, avocado and more. Nice bread, especially for peruvian standards and fresh toppings. The berry smoothie with water also tasted good. Water is free and atmosphere good.

Cool venue, tasty pizza - Edit
Really cool little restaurant serving unusual and original pizza flavours. Includes gluten free and vegan options labelled on the menu. Pizzas cost 25-30 soles. There is a different menu earlier in the day, which has sandwiches and salads etc. Pizzas start from 4.30pm
Read moreI had a veggie pizza, (but swapped the mozzarella for avocado cheese) topped with cheese, cherry tomatoes, Incan berries, sesame, pecans and basil. It was really tasty, with a crispy, light base.
The restaurant itself is a really cool venue, with good artwork and impressive beer selection!!
Pros: Great flavour, Cool restaurant

Delicious and filling gluten free vegan pizza - Edit
We had a very delicious and filling gluten free vegan pizza (30 soles). The crust is made of tapioca, cornmeal and rice. The topping consists of avocado cheese, sesame seeds, beetroot leaves, cashew parmesan, and olive oil. They serve free filtered water and all the ingredients are fresh, organic, and local. In the same house is a great rooftop with comfortable seats to relax.

It was a nice experience. - Edit
The restaurant has sophisticated, nice interior and thus a cozy athmosphere. We had the vegan glutenfree Pizza. It was tasty, only the dough was quite hard. Otherwise i have nothing to critisize, except maybe that there are not many vegan options. Las Gringas is worth a visit!

Nice and original - Edit
A nice place to eat. Menu is different if you go at noon or in the evening. Beer is good but really expensive. The vegan pizza is not bad, quite expensive too but huge (better to take one for 2 persons and share). Free wi-fi. I also checked and they do have a toilet - outside 😁 (reference to one of the previous comments)

Great food but.. - Edit
The food we had was awesome (Amura salad and pasta with smoked cherry tomatoes. But during lunch time, there are not that many vegan options (I think just salad without cheese and dressing, fetuccini without smth). There are able to prepare gluten free pasta upon the request. They have really great beer as well. Prices are relatively higher when considering lunch for vegans...

Tienen una carta de pizzas que se pueden hacer veganas. Sustituyen el queso con una crema de aguacate y están muy ricas. Buen precio, buen ambiente... me gustó mucho :-)

Great vegan pizza! - Edit
My partner and i went for dinner. I had a vegan Vegie Patch pizza with avocado cheese and my partner had the Quinoa pizza without parmesan and with avocado cheese. Unfortunately it came with parmesan, but he's not vegan so not too big of a deal. The pizza was incredibly fresh, made as you order, with delicious ingredients and really new, different flavours. The bases are thin, but not dry. Price is amazing. Would definitely return!

Good vegan pizza option - Edit
This is a pizzeria located close to the main plaza. They have one solid vegan option with an avacado cheese and cashew parmesan. but I assume you can substitute the cheese on another pizza as well. The vegan option is also gluten free and I found the crust to be absolutely perfect. They use fresh ingredients and make the pizza on the spot as you order. No microwave oven here! I enjoyed the pizza and the restaurant had a really good atmosphere.
