Fine but there's much better options in Verona - Edit
The shop was completely shut until 10 minutes after opening (and 10 minutes after our reservation starting time). There was a small queue of people outside, so we decided to stay and wait. This however meant that once we all entered the restaurant, at the same time, the taking of orders was very slow.
Read moreThe waitresses were both very kind, however clearly rushed off their feet. 25 minutes after ordering, I was informed that there were no vegetables for my vegan option. I was hungry, and said no problem just give me extras of the other bits.
A plate eventually arrived with some pretty nice but bland vegan mozzarella, 2 measly pieces of a very tasty faux cold cut and a few slabs of a bland uncooked/seasoned raw tofu. The sauces were okay, but they tasted like things I could get at home. If service was faster and the atmosphere better (it was very bright and cold inside) it would have been a nice way to eat, however the wait time and quality of what arrived left me somewhat disappointed.
There was nothing wrong particularly with the food, and we chose it as I went with my omni partner (his non vegan food was also lacklustre), but I think you could definitely go and get a better sandwich from somewhere else and save yourself 20€.
Pros: Vegan as is option, Options for omnis, Nice beer selection
Cons: Long wait time for opening and service, Poor quality and boring food, Expensive for what you get

Insomma - Edit
Gnocco fritto appena pervenuto.

Expensive - Edit
A pricey place, but a unique one in the sense of I have never had anything like it. The food was nice tasting but it was I think around €17 per person and you aren’t allowed to share one platter between 2, so if you have drinks it all racks up! There was many dips and it was nice to have 2 desert dips for after you had finished the mains.

Cons: -EXPENSIVE!!! 40!euro’s for twice the vegan menu., Unfriendly staff. Opening times are wrong. , Restaurant isn’t cosy and far out of the Center

Tasty local food - Edit
We enjoyed the vegan set menu - little round Tigelle breads, one fried gnocchi, roasted veg, cheeses, tofu and 10 dips. It was an expensive lunch at 17 Euros per person but there was plenty to eat and it was really delicious. Highly recommended.

Bread and dips, but fancy - Edit
Had never heard of tigella before, they’re little circular bread things from the Modena area. My boyfriend and I had the menu vegano, which was a really good spread: tigella, 10 different sauces (8 savoury/ 2 sweet), vegan cheese, tofu (I think), grilled veggies and fried dumplings. The sauces were all really tasty, especially the cream cheese and the two dessert ones - white chocolate and the other one tasted just like Nutella. I read somewhere they give you more tigella if you run out, but it ended up being the perfect amount of food and was filling enough.
Read moreThe restaurant is more upscale than we were expecting and prices are a little high. The vegan menu is €16.90 per person, so lunch here was a splurge for us backpackers. But it was something we’d never tried before and a unique Italian experience.
Pros: Delicious dips, Tasty vegan cheese, Nice ambience
Cons: Expensive

Amazing vegan option - Edit
I had the vegan menu...10 dips, breads, veg, cheese and tofu. The cheeses were delicious and the dips were amazing. The 2 sweet dips are worth the visit alone...2 types of chocolate which tasted like I remember nutella and kinder bueno.

different and tasty - Edit
I went here having no idea what tigella was but thoroughly enjoyed it. I would recommend trying it, there are MANY vegan sauces to choose from! The grilled vegetables and vegan cheese that comes with the tigella are also delicious.

Veg Friendly indeed - Edit
There is a Vegan Menu, which includes Tigelle, Fried Gnocchi, Vegan Cheese, Grilled Vegetables and a selection of sauces (included 2 sweets). You can order more sauces or change the basic ones that go with the menu. I couldn't finish it all! It was a lot and it was GOOD!

wonderful! - Edit
Spacious restaurant, good service. The vegan tigella spread was fantastic. I've never before been faced with the problem of more vegan cheese than I know what to do with.
