good value for the money - Edit
Officially, you can choose up to five ingredients and pay 120 C$ which is cheap for San Juan del Sur. We could only choose four and paid the same price. The food itself is good but don't expect something fancy. You need to find out what's vegan yourself, as the staff don't answer questions. We experienced them as a little rude. You can either buy a drink (30 C$) or get water for free. We paid in cash but they accept cards as well.

Pros: food , price , free water
Cons: only four ingredients instead of five , your are not told what's vegan

Very cheap, rude staff - Edit
For 120 cordobas you can choose 5 options: gallo pinto/beans/rice/salads.
Read moreThey had 2 spaghetti options and I asked about the ingredients and the lady said: spaghetti, so I asked again being specific in the INGREDIENTS part and she said “spaghetti” again 😅 so idk how you’re supposed to know if something is vegan or not (I speak Spanish).
The food is nice, cheap and there’s free water and sauces.

Most affordable lunch in SJDS - Edit
You can get a big plate of food for as little as 100 cordobas which is fantastic in SJDS. The food is simple but filling, you get served quickly, there are always a few veggie/vegan options. You can get salsa and chips for free with your meal as well. Great spot for a budget traveler.
