Not serving full meals - Edit
I was really disappointed by Irie. They weren’t serving full meals when I went, just cakes and smoothies and it didn’t look like they usually did meals either?
Read moreI had a cinnamon bun which was not very good. And an ok smoothie.
I wouldn’t go back which is such a shame as it’s the only fully vegan/vegetarian place in town.

We only had a coffee and a blondie, but both were rather bland.

Unfortunately the portions are very small and for that size kinda expansive compared to other places. I also had a Blondie-Dessert and it had almost no taste.

I can't attest to their meals but I stopped in and grabbed sweet treats twice, a cinnamon roll and a Blondie type bar. Both were alright! The staff was friendly; it was nice finding vegan desserts in Nicaragua.

The food at Irie is very good, especially the cakes !! The only inconvenient for me is that the portions are very small, and you have to pay extra for having a normal sized meal

I found this place while walking along one of the streets in SJDS. I saw the"vegan" sign and directly went inside :D. I asked the owners, who are so nice, for recommendations and ended up with the powerhouse salad and loved it🤤. I came back several times for focaccia and on my last day I asked for something that would survive my long trip the next day. So, I ended up with the Thai peanut bowl with the sauce on the side and it was amazing 🤤. Wish I could go back!
