Very good and affordable food - Edit
Came here for dinner today. The restaurant is placed in a nice area, full with great restaurants. The restaurant itself has a lovely syrian interior design. Felt very comfortable there. I had the falafel plate with hummus and my friend and had the falafel plate with rice. Also we shared some great green tea and filled grape leaves. The food was amazing and very authentic. The waiter was very polite and served us even though it was already late and they would close soon. Also the price was really good for the food! We will come back as soon as possible to try some other dishes.

High-quality 'fast food' with vegan options - Edit
This is a lovely little restaurant on Calle Elvira, a street full of restaurants. La Puerta de Syria stands out for me as you can tell the ingredients are high-quality and the food that we tried was really delicious.
Read moreI chose the stuffed vine leaves and they were amazing. I checked with the waiter and he was very helpful, assuring me they are definitely vegan.
The restaurant is small but decorated to look like you are sitting in some kind of tented desert oasis, which gives it a nice atmosphere.
We got takeaway and the containers were foam which I found a bit unfortunate, maybe in the future they could try to use a more sustainable kind of packaging.
Also they don't have baby seats, just in case you want to go there with your little one.
Pros: Lovely atmosphere, High-quality food with vegan choices, Friendly, helpful staff

Enjoyed some houmous and falafel, accompanied by flat breads and a portion of beans. Really reasonably priced and tasty. Convenient location just off a Main Street too

Small, cosy restaurant. Had the felafel and hummus dish costing 5.5 euros. Very fresh, and a good size. Maybe could do with a bit more hummus on the plate, but that's because I love heaps of hummus.

I am not sure why this place is on the Happy Cow and not all the falafel places in the same street. AT least this one had had a simple interior. Only one dish which was the straight falafel bread. Good patty, rest nothing tasty or special.
