Good but overrated - Edit
In my opinion La Lanterna is a bit overrated. Maybe the waiting spoiled my impression as we came without reservation and requested an outside table that required 20 minutes wait but we ended up waiting for one hour and 40 minutes, as other people - apparently with reservation - showed up. One table was empty for about half an hour which could have been given to us even for a while but the staff were not exactly accommodating. Well the food was the main reason we came and it took us a while to complete our order as the menu was extensive. (They could have given it to us while we were waiting but nevermind.) The preparation of the meal was super fast like under 5 minutes. We had the highly rated carbonara and gnocchi. The fake pancetta in my carbonara tasted like the vegan salami that can be bought in supermarkets in Italy, it is seitan based and not my favourite thing. I certainly had better vegan carbonara at other vegan places in Italy. The gnocchi that my fiance got were really good but not as well seasoned - contained just butter instead of any sauce and very little random pieces of veggies. The grill plate had some interested items but it is overpriced and the polenta was absolutely tasteless. The baked potatoes were great though. One glass of prosecco was not even a half full which was a shame. They didn't light the candle on our table and just a few minor issues that left some to be desired.

I really enjoyed the lunch in this restaurant. The kindness of the staff, the creativity of the dishes and the excellent combination quality/price are the strengths of this place. Not mentioning the wide dessert choice! If you go to Verona, you cannot miss it! The restaurant is vegan and bio, this means that the products are fresh, home made and healthy! Congratulations on your fantastic activity... Keep going like this guys!!

In 8 years as a vegan this was one of the best experiences, we were really lucky to find it, we eat typical lasagna, with beans and vegetables, burgers and the most amazing desserts, it was hard to believe they were 100% vegan.

Went here for lunch during a short trip to Verona. Delicious food. For lunch we could choose between three options. Each option was 10 euros. Afterwards we got dessert, which was about 5 euros each. The dessert was totally delicious - vegan tiramisu!

What an unbelievable experience at an extremely affordable price. We enjoyed the dumplings, mixed grill, and pasta. The food was as good as any other fine vegan restaurant in Europe. The homemade seitan meats were perfect.

The food is simply excelent!!! If you only stay one day in verona come here. You will get extraordinary food here for the same price you would pay in any other ordinary restaurant. Everything was soooo good. We had eggplant rolls as a starter, two different first courses (tortellini and gnocci) and cake for dessert! Perfect!! The wine and espresso were also very good!
