First I would rate 3,5 if it was possible. It is a nice place with friendly staff. There is a large choice of dishes. Unfortunately the service was very slow although there were only a few guests. Except for the bruschetta the food was very bland. The ideas of the dishes are good but they have to work on the seasoning.

Really good, very authentically Italian! Had the bruschetta, which was phenomenal; the carbonara, which was creamy but not so full of flavor; my partner had the gnocchi which was fantastic, and two cakes, also both great! Portion sizes are “local”, meaning pasta is a “middle dish”, so not that big portions, so you probably have to order more than just one dish.

A proper Italian restaurant but 100% vegan, the food was so delicious we came back the next day and tried some more. Everything is homemade and fresh, so many different options, we tried fried gnocchi with 3 different styles of vegan salami and cream cheese on the side, carrot gnocchi, ravioli filled with cream cheese and peas, pasta ragu and pasta carbonara different types of desserts (sacher cake, profiterole and macadamia cake with strawberries)

Stopped by without pre-booking and were fortunate they weren't busy. We had a selection of starters and mains which were well cooked and tasty and I could honestly go back many more times because the variety is great. I'd have loved to have dessert but was too full. The pistachio creme cannoli looked delicious. Staff were helpful and attentive. Dog friendly too! A must-go in Verona.

A cosy little place with a very varied seasonal menu. You will find traditional Italian dishes, reimagined to be vegan. The food is organic and you can appreciate its quality when you taste it. Sometimes one or two items are not available on the menu, a tell-tale sign that the restaurant only uses fresh ingredients. The staff is very polite and somewhat formal, the service is usually quite fast and the food is always super-good. Portions are filling, I usually feel satisfied after a starter and a first course dish, but make sure you leave some space for a slice of their white chocolate cakes.

Das Restaurant ist gemütlich und rein vegan. Die Preise sind recht hoch wie ich finde bei einer eher überschaubaren Auswahl. Ich hatte die Karotten-Gnocci und dazu Kartoffeln. Die Gnocci waren kaum gewürzt und hatten bis auf die gerösteten Haselnüsse in der Sauce keinen Geschmack.
Read moreDer Service war langsam. Es gibt für zwei Personen die Möglichkeit einen gemischten Teller von einer Auswahl der ersten Gänge zu bekommen. Für mich alleine war dies nicht möglich, was ich wenig serviceorientiert finde. Ich bekam statt stillem Wasser, welches mit Kohlensäure (kann passieren) und nach Öl (für Brot) und Salz/Pfeffer musste ich fragen. Die Kellnerin war sehr lieb, wirkte aber unerfahren. Englisch konnte sie nicht gut (geht nicht in die Bewertung ein!!!).
Der Nachtisch war der Hammer.
Alles In allem würde ich aber nicht wiederkommen.

The restaurant is very nicely designed and decorated, you don't feel like you're in a canteen or a snack bar, you feel like you're in a high-end restaurant. The menu consists of many different dishes that are creative and appealing. At the entrance there is a fridge with desserts, especially cakes, which are highly recommended! At lunchtime, only one dish is offered as a lunch menu, but which tasted very good! Overall, the food is really good, the portions perhaps a little too small and it could be a tad better.

Ogni volta che sono a Verona cerco di cenare a La Lanterna. Ci sono piatti ricercati e delicati come molti primi, ma anche portate dai sapori forti e poi semplici come la grigliata vegan o l’antica sto di affettati auto prodotti con gnocco fritto. Generalmente tanta scelta di dolci.
