Opened Nov 2013, this ristorante pizzeria vegano biologico offers a variety of dishes prepared with seasonal products, from starters and different kinds of filled pasta to seitan, tofu, and pizza with house-made vegan mozzarella. Weekday lunches are a set dish with water, coffee and optional dessert. Open Mon-Sun 12:30-15:00, 19:00-23:00.

De chocolate cake is to die for and the service is nice, but with the airconditioning it was too cold and except for the wine and dessert, everything we had was bland. The carbonara had no taste, the potatoes tasted like mustard and were mushy, the mixed grill was average and the zuchini beignets were bland while the pesto was too bitter. We were so dissappointed. I love supporting vegan restaurants but we paid 80 euros for blegh food. I'd rather eat a 5 euros old marinara at a tourist trap. Nevertheless, the service was good and quick and we could bring our dog, so 2 stars instead of 1. Also, the cake!!

Location of the restaurant is in a beautiful and peaceful part of town. Didn’t need to reserve for lunch on a Tuesday during the summer.
Read more3 of the pasta dishes we ordered were delicious (Gnocchi, Cappelleti, Tortelli Mantovani) - some of the best vegan pasta I’ve had. Most of our party found the 4th dish (rye sunflowers) inedible as it was so bitter, but one of us didn’t mind so maybe it’s a matter of taste!
The desserts were good but not exceptional. Overall definitely worth a visit but pick the more popular dishes!

It’s so nice to have a vegan restaurant that is quite like one of these old Italian traditional places. The plates are not super big and for that it is a little bit expensive but food is amazing and the aperitiv without Alkohol is one of the best we have ever tasted

We really really loved it, vegan AND organic! We had a super tasty starter (eggplant tarte) and two pasta dishes that were so delicious (carbonara and bolognese), also had the filled „fish“ pie. Big recommendation!

A very lovely place with quite good meals, though I did have somewhat higher expectations considering what good reviews it had gotten so far. My zucchini blossom pasta was excellent, not the best vegan cheese I've ever tried but certainly one of the better ones. Dessert--a cake with three chocolate layers--was very nice though nothing exceptional. Nice staff and space; would go back and look forward to sampling more items on my next visit to Verona. For sure a good place to sample more traditional dishes for a vegan!

Read moreThe staff was super nice and the restaurant itself is ok. We had two different kind of pasta and a salad. Quality and taste of food was good but not amazing.
The menu is only online and it takes ages to upload all the items on the menu, plus you always have to go back and forth - so it takes a lot of time before you could check everything they have.
And I must say, that the music was really bad. They played some kind of relaxing Music like they use at Massage studios to calm you down 😅 so we endet up leaving the restaurant totally tired. Does not make you want to stay long.
Still a nice place to go with a lot of options.

Fine dining prices for average tasting food. Great to have a option of a all vegan restaurant in a place with not many options and you can guarantee no cross contaminations with meat but when spending €50 I would expect tastier food

Searched out vegan restaurants for our trip to Verona and made a reservation here in advance. Was not disappointed. Welcome was warm, food was delicious and the service was very polite and accommodating considering my attempts at pigeon Italian. Would recommend.

La Lanterna’s menu is set like a traditional Italian restaurant menu, with starters, first course, second course then the dessert, drinks, aperitifs etc. First courses are traditionally pasta and this is what myself, my husband and other diners seemed to be choosing on our visit. I think this is because it’s so exciting to have ‘traditional’ or well known pasta dishes made vegan.
Read moreMy husband and I shared the starter slices plate, the carbonara, rosemary pasta and corn gnocchi. We each had the three chocolate cake.
There were lots of wines to choose from, one my husband had. I chose to drink chinotto and we both had the fresh juice of the day.
The restaurant’s style makes it suitable for a more casual family meal as well as something a little more romantic (we were there for a belated anniversary)
