Wow! Best in Kuala Lumpur - Edit
Can’t recommend more highly! The food and atmosphere is amazing! We ordered the share platter for lunch and then came back the next morning and got the big breakfast with coffee and juice. The servers are also so kind and will help you out in any way possible! Do yourself a favour and try La Gula.

Tops Pizza and Tops Ice Cream - Edit
I came too late for the dinner menu after trying to find a vegan indian spot in Brickfields, which was closed on arrival and then walking by foot across six rivers of meatheads in cars. So much fortune as this restricted me to the late night pizza menu, which I would likely have passed up.
Read moreSurprise! Awesome pizza, with delicious mushroom satay sausage. And then the ice cream came and it was stellar, beyond compare. Tried three flavors, Durian, Strawberry and Vanilla. All of them tops. I was delighted to sit on the maenianum and watch the disco-like resto-bar below and enjoy excellent service and delightful food. Well done!

Simply Awesome! - Edit
Went there for dinner and breakfast and let me just say - the food, the staff and the location are all amazing! They have western and traditional Asian cuisine - both are super tasty! They also offer so many pastries and desserts in general. Try the breakfast bagel, the avocado toast and the traditional 'fish' soup - best dish I had in Malaysia so far!!
Read moreFYI they used to only offer western food, now they diversified it and added some local dishes as well, so go check that out!

Great but pricy - Edit
I went there twice for breakfast/brunch and loved the food. The cocktail I tried was not that nice though. As was mentioned by others already: it’s pretty pricy for Malaysia! Staff was friendly and interior is beautiful :).

Good breakfast - Edit
We came for breakfast and it was nice to have a pain au chocolat. Unfortunately not all of the pastry were available because they were doing a photoshoot (that's what I understood)
Read moreThe coffee is way too expensive compared to other places though!
The place is really cute and it's a nice atmosphere with a lot of seats
Prices are just too expensive for Malaysia I think.

Go there for their breakfasts - Edit
Ngl I found their chocolate berry cake too coconut-heavy, but their breakfast options are amazing! I had the sambal croissant and the fried "see-food" filling was perfectly crispy and spicy. I tasted my mate's pizza and it was creamy and cheeeezzzy. Maybe the other cakes are actually better but I'd defo stick to savoury next time.

Funky and Delcious!!! - Edit
This is such a cool spot and a must for vegans in KL. Light, bright fun decor in this venue which is great for brunch, lunch, coffee and cake, or a date (especially if you get the tiered cushioned seating areas at the back). I ordered the ‘fish’ (banana blossom) and chips and an oat, peanut butter and banana milkshake - SO delicious!!! Couldn’t fit in dessert so got an apple slice and macarons to take away and wasn’t disappointed. The croissants and pastries looked delicious and are obviously popular. Very clean, tasty and stylish - great Instagram spot. Highly recommend!

i didn’t have much time, so i just took some pastries to go. the apple one i didn’t really like but my friend ate it happily. i liked the scone and it would have been even better warm.
Read morethe cafe space is really beautiful and it would be a nice place to study, have a date, or just hang out. if i go back i would like to try the drinks and a savory option.

Not to be missed! - Edit
La Gula is a must stop if you are visiting KL. The restaurant is cool and trendy inside and the food is incredible. If my stomach was a bottomless pit I would have ordered more, especially trying items from the baked goods and dessert display. Everything we ordered was spectacular.

Good serving sizes, food was ok, felt like we paid mostly for the ambiance - Edit
Very cute cafe, as expected from the same owners of the hungry tapir. The food was ok but the big breakfast scramble was too salty. The cauliflower was delicious and the croissant and scone were average. Expect to pay more than what you’d find elsewhere

Wow, this place is AMAZING - Edit
We visited for brunch and the biggest problem was deciding what to eat. We decided on the big breakfast and the water plate to share and both were excellent. The menu reads really well and this will certainly be a ‘must visit’ every time we’re in KL from now on.

Great for brunch - Edit
We visited at the end of May for brunch. It’s a nice looking place but we decided to stay outside despite the heat as there was a DJ playing music that was obnoxiously loud. I don’t know whether it was for a particular event or not and maybe that would appeal to some. We had the vegan breakfast and a sunny days bagel which were very good. The almond croissant was also good. It’s very pricey and mostly worth it although I’d expect a bigger portion of the vegan breakfast for the cost. Staff were friendly and helpful but a bit hit and miss with different servers

Great (but quite expensive) - Edit
We went there in the morning and they weren't open for another half hour but we were still able to grab pastries to eat outside. The whole staff was extremely kind.

I’m obsessed with this place - Edit
Wowweeee, that breakfast croissant… I could eat it all day every day! All the food we have eaten here was nothing short of spectacular!
Read moreThey are a new restaurant, so still very much finding their feet with service, and seemed to struggle with the “free flow” offered on a Sunday. They have since taken this feedback on board.
They now have also added allergens onto the menu to prevent any issues with nuts etc. this was as a result of some feedback I’d given from when I come with a friend and he was given nuts when he specifically told them he was allergic… fortunately he had stuff on him to respond quickly to the reaction, but it really wasn’t good at all. I do however appreciate that they responded to the feedback and have now included this information on their menu.

More about instagram than good food - Edit
I tried a few of their sweet things, didn't get around to trying the savory offerings so that may be different. But from what I tried, the food and drinks aren't amazing. The place is cute and it's all vegan, so it's still a good time. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the neighborhood, but I wouldn't go out of my way to make it there.
Read moreWhat I tried:
- The mocha, kombucha and macaron were all terrible. The macaron was sickly sweet and very tough and chewy.
- The croissant was half-burnt and very dry. Otherwise it tasted fine.
- The almond croissant was a bit better. It wasn't burnt, but it was quite dry and the filling inside was too sweet.
- The lemon cake was fine.

Amazing place for coffee, cake and brunch! - Edit
My bf found this place on google maps. I had the seafood platter, a coffee and cake. My partner had the pasta. We loved all the food we had and were very pleasantly surprised. The initial menu just has breakfast options but if you go inside you will find a bigger menu behind the counter. Decoration inside is super aesthetic Bali cafe style 😍 very instagrammable
Read morePros: Decor, Options, Fully vegan
Cons: The menu was split into two but its ok , English wasn’t the best but wasn’t terrible either
