Soooo delicious. - Edit
We first were not sure how much to order, we overdid it a little bit. The portions are great main meal sizes and the taste of every single dish was devine. 10/10 recommend.

One of the best restaurants I’ve tried - Edit
After a year, I’m still thinking about this place. You must go try the croissants there. So flaky and light. It’s a top restaurant for me, and I’ve been traveling vegan for years. Those croissants!!!!

Top 3 best vegan burgers I've ever had - Edit
One of the best and most flavoursome vegan burgers I've ever had. Massive. Shoe string fries which came with it let it down a bit though. extremely oily and hard to eat. Easily solved if they just cut them a bit thicker. Good coffee as well. Note they don't have the burger on the dinner menu unfortunately. Dinner menu is nowhere near as good as lunch menu. Still tasty though , just not much protein, and the portion I got at least was pretty small. I still have to give it a 5 though, as the burger was so off the hook.

Favourite restaurant in KL! - Edit
This became our favourite restaurant in KL, probably even the whole region. The food, pastries and drinks are incredible. They have the best vegan croissants in the world, so good it actually makes you angry that every croissant isn’t as good as this one. Anything you order on this menu will be packed full of flavour and you’ll love it.

A Malaysian Must - Edit
This place is equal measures class, cool and bloody brilliant. The quirky yet inviting interior/layout sets the tone straightaway and, with the food, it just keeps delivering. The sausage roll, while no Greggs, was a great appetiser for things to come. The shoestring fries were crispy, la gula whopper sliders were incredible little morsels with a real eggy, cheesy goodness to them, see-food platter was superb, the carbonna was creamy and unctuous, and the tahini & maple salad gave a wonderful fresh respite from everything else.
Read moreThen we have the desserts. Oh my word. I could easily spent the rest of my afternoon mining my way through everything on offer, but I (somehow) managed to restrict myself to ‘just’ a scones, a cinnamon roll and a biscoff croissant…and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. When I say these pastries were good, I mean good. The pick of the bunch was definitely the biscoff croissant, which is no slight on the others, but this was easily the best croissant I’ve ever had, it was ridiculous.
If you’re in KL, or perhaps just Malaysia in general or a neighbouring country, I implore you make your way here.

Great spot of plant based lunch - Edit
Popped in for a quick bite after enjoying the food in its sister place down the road a few nights before. Really nice staff, funky vibe and the food was great. Gem had the bagel with vegan fried egg and I had the sourdough with plant based pastrami and cheese. Really nice, wil definitely be coming back 👍

Favourite - Edit
My favourite place to have ever eaten vegan and that’s coming from London where we have a lot to choose from. We were in KL for a little over 24 hours and ate here twice. So many cakes, ice creams and pastries to choose from - after two months travelling around Asia the kids were beyond excited for the sugar rush. So fun to have a cheeseboard (an enormous one at that!) and great cocktails in the evening too!

Great place for brunch! - Edit
A pleasant atmosphere and a well-designed layout. The lighting is especially impressive and enhances the overall ambience. Customers can choose between indoor or outdoor dining, both of which provide a comfortable experience. Outdoor seating is particularly enjoyable, allowing you to observe the bustling city of Kuala Lumpur and its people as they go about their day.

Cute vegan cafe - Edit
La Gula is one of the best vegan bakeries and cafes in the world let alone in Kuala Lumpur! It has a gorgeous interior with a range of comfy seating options. It has a wide range of delicious food, from breakfast to lunch to dinner. We had the Mediterranean salad, four cheez and Margherita pizzas, shoestring fries, and some bakery stuff to takeaway. All delicious! Will definitely come back. Lalpu was a great member of staff, thank you! It is also in a great location in Chinatown, near its sister restaurant the Hungry Tapir - also worth a visit!!

All vegan brunch! 🌱 - Edit
LaGula offers a delightful brunch experience with, for example, exceptional vegan waffles and croissants (sweet and savory). The innovative menu caters to diverse palates, showcasing a perfect blend of flavors. The cozy designed ambiance and friendly service enhance the overall dining pleasure. A must-visit for brunch enthusiasts, especially those seeking delectable vegan options. Some days the music is very loud, but staff is able to adjust that on request😄#Veganuary
