Nausiatica - Edit
Food was bad. So few vegetables and an unpleasant flavour. FM had a tofu pad Thai, tofu chow mein and summer rolls, they took ages to arrive as well.

Ok, nothing special - Edit
"mix of asian kitchen" means in this case, that everything is ok, but nothing is special. We ate ramen (no vegan) and phad thai. Average ok food, it was next to our hostel that's why. Tea pot was nice, also ipa beer! Good prices.

Dependable food but not amazing - Edit
Ok stir fries about what I would expect from a mediocre asian restaurant. Nothing amazing but reliable and decent price.

Vegan options but not very tasty - Edit
There is many options, they have tofu and can replace all the dishes from meat 🍖/chicken 🍗 to tofu. The problem is that the food isn't that good.. pluses they put by accident a bit of chicken in my plate.

Good for veggie options, unsure for vegans - Edit
The people at our hostel recommended this place and told us that most of their food is really good, except the curries. We had veggie fried rice and spring rolls which were pretty good. Staff was friendly but a bit slow.

Vegetarian Pad Thai - Edit
I asked the waitress for a vegetarian Pad Thai and they cooked it for me, I said no fish sauce and they did. Their staff is mainly Guatemalans, so they don´t speak English, but their menu is bilingual and you can always just point at the item and order. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, and they have a nice collection of vintage posters from Asia that I loved! Definitely recommend this place.

Awful - Edit
Not recomended for veggies or vegans.
Read moreEverything has fish sauce. When we asked the English speaking waitress if any dishes were vegan, she didn't know. The chef prepared two dishes for us. Both were bland watery tasteless curries. Avoid.
Pros: Friendly waitress
Cons: Awful food, Weird atmosphere

Quality and quantity - Edit
Portions are huge and the food is delicious.
Read moreSome dishes look vegetarian/vegan (such as the pad thai, the fried rice, etc) but actually contain fish sauce. Make sure to inquire.

Average food, no atmosphere - Edit
I had a Pad Thai. Food was very average, the atmosphere.. there was no atmosphere at all :) I would not recommend this place to anyone, unless you are really hungry and don’t have a choice ( which is quite possible in the town like this..)

Amazing vegetarian food! - Edit
I visited this restaurant with my family and it was a great finding. They serve traditional asian food starting at lunch time, and the prices are great, the food quality and taste amazing and the place beautiful. They also serve american style breakfast at Q25.00 with coffee refill, wifi is great here and I found it cozy with amazing views. If you're in Xela, this is definitely a place to go. The staff is really nice, the food is freshly cooked, each it took about 10 to 15 minutes to cook ours, but the result will blow your mind so many harmonically combined ingredients and aromas, I loved it, it's three blocks away from the Central Park!

Dependable and Tasty Southeast Asian Restaurant - Edit
Lots of vegetarian (tofu) options. A mix of Thai, Vietnamese, and Chinese cuisines. Not quite authentic or dead-on flavors (some ingredients are limited in Quetzaltenango), but close enough in Guatemala. And very vegan and vegetarian friendly. We filled our bellies.
