Good Dinner but not Dessert - Edit
We ordered the burger which had the beyond meat and the cannelloni. The beyond burger was just like any other beyond burger we’ve had, the only difference was the nice blue cheese sauce inside. The cannelloni was pretty good, but very cheesy. But, it will definitely fill you up. For the starter we had the platter, everything was great on the platter except the zucchini rolls with some paste inside, the paste really did not taste good. For dessert we had the chocolate cake, we do not recommend it. The cake is very dry! Therefore this is why I have to give the restaurant 4 stars.

Great food and service - Edit
Had the cheese board, burger and raw lasagne. Everything was really tasty. Service was friendly and informative. The dinner menu starts at 20:30, so at 20:00 we had a slightly smaller menu.

A must-do for vegans in Madrid - Edit
I’ve had some great meals here, and La Encomienda is near the top of the list! I had the menu of the day, and it included some nice roasted vegetables in oil, a lovely veggie lasagna, and a kind of creamy milkshake with bananas and chocolate for dessert. I’m definitely coming back here next time I come to Madrid!

The restaurant was a hit all around! The food was so delicious, all the way from appetizer to dessert. The staff was super friendly as well. Would have gone again and again if we would not have had to leave Madrid.

Amazing vegan food, great atmosphere - Edit
Tucked down a small street in Madrid, this place serves an entirely vegan menu featuring a selection of vegan wines and locally brewed craft beers. We had the vegetable cannelloni and the african mafe stew, both of which were incredible. Would recommend to any vegan in Madrid!

Fantastic! - Edit
La Encomienda is a great spot for a nice meal in Madrid. We were lucky to get a dinner table, even arriving earlier than the norm in Madrid so reservations would be recommended. We share the Mediterranean platter for tapas. The entrees were both delicious – Pasta with Tempeh Nuggets and Olla de la Tita Fina, a traditional pumpkin stew with black rice. The service was amazing despite the place being so busy. We ordered a dessert, which took a long time to arrive so our server offered us limoncello, which was very nice and unexpected. Food is beautifully presented.

Proper sized restaurant. Great food and decent value. Speak good english and have an allergen menu. Try the seitan strips for starter. Had some sour faced meat eaters at the table and that turned it all around

Nice place but not sure all will like the flavors. - Edit
Very nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. The mushroom soup was excellent the desert (pomelo muss) as well. My kids didn't like so much the cheese plate nor the Tokyo rice. The restaurant has very distinguishing taste which is bit off the bitten road of veggie burger and wraps. Some people may not like it and this is why I gave them only 4 stars.

We ate at La Encomienda on our first night in Madrid. We were greeted with "we've saved the best table for you!"
Read moreThe staff here are really friendly and helpful. They have good English so it's possible not to embarrass yourself if your Spanish isn't up to much!
We had a delicious appetiser and then moved onto a shared starter of seitan cooked in vermouth which was beautifully presented and really tasty.
For our mains we had the Jackfruit tacos and the Thai sauteed quinoa with breaded mushrooms which was a really clever and tasty combination.
We drank a delicious Chardonnay.
We couldn't manage pudding but people near us had a gorgeous looking brownie!
A really lovely place to eat.
Pros: Location, Friendly staff, Delicious food

Wonderful - Edit
It has a wonderful brunch option. You get a coffee, smoothie, and either avocado toast or a piece of cake for 4.50€. We tried the cake and the toast. Both were wonderful. They also have a vegan artisan cheese board that is super delicious. The pasta with fried cauliflower was also wonderful.

Not a tapas bar - Edit
From the description, we were expecting a tapas bar! There only are 4 tapas dishes though. At the start, the waiter wouldn’t take out order as it was 20:27 and not 20:30 yet... We shared the Mediterranean platter and the seitan tapas: unfortunately neither were very tasty. People around us seemed to have ordered some nice meals, and the venue is nice but our experience was sadly not good. We also had to wait ages to pay and leave.

Buena comida y precio. No el mejor sitio pero aceptable / Good food an price. The cheese table and the jackfruit ‘tacos’ were good although I’ve eaten better. Not the best place but good.
