Eurospar supermarket

La Cooperativa is a department store in the middle of the town, with a big Eurospar supermarket on the first floor. The location is very convenient, right in the centre. It is a big supermarket with a good selection of vegan items, including milks, yoghurts, snacks, and mock meats. It is slightly more expensive than Conad, which is the other big supermarket in the town.

Very convenient for making lunch if you’re vegan!

We made delicious sandwiches out of ingredients we bought at the cooperative. We bought fresh baked buns, hummus, greens, and veggie meat as well as olives and other snacks.

Pros: Convenient, Good options, Great location

Cons: A little pricey but worth it

Vegan items!

There are still a significant amount of vegan items in this supermarket! Planty plant milka, cream, yogurt. A few frozen burgers and the likes, fake meat and I also got one fake cheese. There is also plant of condiments, fruits, vegetables etc

Such good vegan meats!

Amazing bio vegan cold cuts with Italian flavor! Like nothing I’ve tried anywhere else. They also have vegan chocolate hazelnut spread, flavored tofu, vegan microwave meals, and some tofu spreads. Nice produce with some bio options as well.

I’ll expand later, with photos of my haul, but this is the best vegan prospect in the pedestrian zone in town here. And the staff is friendly and lovely.

Yay, tofu and seitan in Italy!

After not finding any tofu or fake meats in my travels in Northern Italy, it was nice to find these options. There were 2 choices in packaged flavored tofu which were good and likewise with 2 or 3 sliced fake meat options. They had lots of bread choices including my favorite slow baked, very thin sliced, and shelf stable German Rye (and others) brick-like loaves. It is super tasty and very hearty. They also offer fresh fruits and veggies and some fresh prepared foods.

Pros: they have hard to find vegan food, good prices (compared to restaurant food), convenient location in center of town on plaza

Cons: not open in mid afternoon like many places, limited vegan options
