Diverse Vegan Options - Edit
Yesterday when searching for something different to try, I stumbled across La Casita De Vero. I was impressed by the large vegan selection, so I decided to try it. After ordering, I realized I had their food once before at the Hillcrest Farmer’s market, but I could not remember if I had liked it or not.
Read moreI ordered a mushroom burrito filled with a mix of 5 different mushrooms, Mexican rice, black beans, pico de gallo, cabbage, citrus onions, and chipotle crema. When the burrito arrived (I ordered on Doordash, but it’s in the Aztec Food Court, which is home to other delicious vegan options), I was shocked by how heavy and how giant the burrito was for $13.75. After tasting it, I have to say it was pretty good, and I ate almost the whole thing.
I would not say it was the best burrito of my life, but for so many diverse (labeled) vegan options and the quality & quantity for the price, I will definitely eat here again. There were so many other options; I can only say this is a review for the burrito but optimism about the rest of the menu. The salsas were also pretty good, and I am super picky about salsa. I recommend giving it a try!

Overpriced for cheap carbs - Edit
My husband ordered the veggie burrito which was supposed to contain grilled vegetables but the only vegetable in it was cauliflower. It was filled with rice and potatoes. The owner said the vegetables vary and today’s vegetables were (cauliflower and) potatoes. It was very dry. We also got the breakfast bowl but the tofu was not prepared well. The Al pastor fries were okay but in general the food included mostly the cheap ingredients (e.g. potatoes, cabbage) with small amounts of the other ingredients.
