Not sure anything was vegan.

Nothing on the menu at the restaurant was marked vegan, and it was a different menu than they have online. The waitress seemed confused as to what vegan meant and I had to clarify several times no dairy or lard, and I had to specifically indicate no sour cream or cheese more than once. Everything was pretty disappointing. We were informed that they don't have any hard liquor, so the margaritas are premixed with a low alcohol content, so we skipped drinks. The potato tacos tasted like the potatoes came from a box. The side order of "guacamole" ($3.50!) was literally just mashed avocados and nothing else, no lime, salt, tomato, onion, peppers... just mashed avocado and started to turn brown almost immediately upon arrival to the table. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, but especially not vegans.

Great food and service at this El Paso landmark restaurant

There's a reason this place has been around for decades. Great food. Wonderful service. Expect to wait most days but well worth it.

Good food, but no vegan options

There weren’t any vegan options listed on the menu, and vegetarian wasn’t marked. We tried to ask our server what the options were, but he seemed too busy or distracted to provide any information.

We ended up eating vegetarian and it was a good meal. If there are any vegan options, you’ll have to do some investigating and interrogating to find them.

⚠️ However, not sure if the beans and rice are made with chicken stock because, again, the server wasn’t too willing to answer questions ⚠️

Prices weren’t bad. Margaritas were HUGE!

Pros: Good food, Good location

Cons: No vegan menu, Not willing to answer menu questions

Glad I gave it a chance!

Everyone was super nice! The staff informed why I wouldn’t want the refried beans but gave me pintos. They explained the salsa has a meat broth base so provided me with pico. My guacamole tacos were filling. The atmosphere was fun and wait time was manageable. I enjoyed sitting at bar and people-watching.

Pros: Staff was very knowledgeable., They were able to accommodate my requests., They were friendly and checked on me multiple xs.

Good food, limited vegan options

The menu has “vegan/vegetarian” food labelled (as per its legend) but the waitstaff helping me wasn’t sure whether the labelled food could be made vegan (I was assured it was at least vegetarian). When I asked what could be made vegan, the waitstaff had to run back and forth between me and the kitchen. Ultimately I got some good vegan Mexican-inspired food, but it wasn’t as easy as other commenters on various websites made it sound. I think it depends on who you have as your waitstaff, since the kitchen seems to know what is vegan.

The vegan burritos are great (and filling). Lots of beans. The guacamole tacos are also good, though a bit bland since they are—as the name suggests—just tacos with lots of guacamole (and nothing else when made vegan).

The location is a bit out of the way, but visible and easy to find (once you’re in the general area, it’s clearly the only restaurant around).

Pros: Good prices, quick service, Filling (especially since you get free nachos), Air conditioned

Cons: Waitstaff may not know what’s vegan, Out-of-the-way location
