Really cool space - Edit
I stopped by while passing through and was delighted at what I found. The burro with seitan faux-jitas is great. The big salad really is big. The chips and queso are good. I also just really appreciate the space and how it is operated. We should make community spaces like this everywhere. Pay it forward if you can.

Delightful choices - Edit
So many delightful choices. You might be tempted to try several of them. I had been traveling, so went for the healthiest option - a huge salad with delicious veggies and dressings. They also have more decadent choices, as well as desserts.

The food was great! Best vegan restaurant in El Paso. You can explore the garden in the backyard. I dont love that the restaurant is inside a church, but the high quality of food is definitely worth it!

Excellent vegan venue in El Paso - Edit
We have eaten at One Grub 3 times in the past 3 months and have enjoyed it tremendously each time! The menu has many choices, the staff is both friendly and helpful and food is excellent. At our last visit we had the omelet of the day and it was filled with veggies, had a base of a mung/chickpea batter much better than egg or any commercial vegan we have tasted. The dining room is comfortable and the energy positive.

My fav restaurant in EP - Edit
One Grub is an amazing restaurant located in the First Christian Church on Arizona. I have been in a dozen+ times and every one of them has been great. The consistency is seriously commendable.

Finally was able to check it out. Delicious plant-based food served in a socially conscious cafe. Good for groups, families, and working. Menu rotated weekly. Also sell holiday tamales for purchase and features vegan baked goods from Blushing Buffalo (farmer’s market vendor).

You can't go wrong here - Edit
One Grub features an ever changing menu that they usually have posted on their Instagram. I am lucky to have been several times and gotten to try all sorts of amazing food such as vegan bbq brisket, a vegan French dip sandwich, fried rice made from cauliflower... I can't even remember the rest off the top of my head. They always have some sort of salad available but i prefer the less 'healthy' stuff.
Read moreOh yeah, they have breakfast now, too! And during the holiday season you can pre order tamales from them. Last year we ended up getting 4 dozen and will probably do 5 dozen this year. The green chile jackfruit is my favorite.
The best thing about this place is that you can tell the food is made with love and the owners try to make it accessible to all with their 'pay it forward' program. Please go and support this place as much as you can!
Pros: Everything is vegan and delicious , Friendliest people ever, Laid back environment, no pretentiousness
Cons: Sometimes food could be a little spicier, Open for half the week , I can't go as much as I'd like to!

OGC is the place to be - Edit
Located on the corner of Arizona and St. Vrain inside First Christian Church, through the blue doors. Amazing selection that changes every week with a mission to create food access in one of El Paso’s biggest food desert areas. Pay it Forward system allows all tips and donations to go to someone who can volunteer in exchange for their time. They’re El Paso’s absolute first all Plant Based business! Started as a farmers-market stand (and still is), and now has a diner with 42 garden beds as well.
Read morePros: 100% vegan with a Pay It Forward purpose, Friendly folks, killer revolving menus, Locally sourced and on site grown produce

Vegan Restaurant with Pay it Forward Option - Edit
One Grub Community (OGC) is 100% vegan and offers a nice selection of vegan food. We parked in the church parking lot and entered the blue double doors (on Arizona Ave) of the church for access to this restaurant.
Read moreWe confirmed they do not use honey and in fact they stated that they make their own vegan apple hunny, which you can purchase for $8.00/jar.
The staff was super friendly and even though it was in a church we did not feel like any beliefs were being pushed on us.
They also offer a Pay it Forward option (PIF), where you can purchase a meal for someone who cannot afford one. We really enjoy intersectional vegan restaurants. We've come across a few that offer this option and are always excited to see this within the vegan movement.
Their pricing is very affordable. This is the pricing at the time of our visit.
Appetizers/dips: $5.95
Meal: $7.50 - $10.00
Cake: $4.50 (from Sane Vegan)
Drinks: 2/$2.50
They are happy to use containers that customers bring in rather than disposable to go containers.
$5.95 Artichoke Pepper Kale Dip: This came with baguette slices and pretzel chips. I think if we get this again we will request only baguette slices. We thought the pretzel chips overpowered the artichoke dip flavors. We did like this dip, we enjoyed the red peppers and we would get this again.
$5.95 Not'cho Queso & Chips (made from cashews): It was okay. We've had many different vegan quesos over the years and this wasn't to our liking. It was a bit thin and the flavor tasted a bit off to us. The tortilla chips seemed a bit hard. However it seems it is a very popular item, so it could just be us.
$9.75 Breakfast for Linner Bowl: Really imaginative bowl. It was really flavorful. It had what appeared to be follow your heart eggs or perhaps homemade chickpea eggs, artichoke, potatoes, arugula and avocado cream. The vegan egg had a really good texture. The potatoes were really well cooked and delicious.
Please make restrooms gender neutral. Please use compostable plant plastics instead of conventional plastic containers.
Pros: Affordable, House MadeVegan Apple Hunny available for purchase, Pay it Forward Option
Cons: Restrooms are not gender neutral
