Nice bar with good food - Edit
Loved the (alternative) atmosphere at the bar and the very friendly people. Quite some (original) vegan options and vegetarian options that can be veganized. Good food!

Vegan nut fondue - Edit
I didnt know what to expect of a vegan nut fondue. We tried it, and it was quiet interesting. Its a hummus like Paste of different nuts, with alcohol (should be declared on the menu), and may be tahin or similiar stuff. Wouldnt eat it a second time, but it was really interesting and I did not NOT like it. Creative. The fries, we ordered as sides were not selfmade, I suppose, but totally fine!

Okay, here's the deal. This venue is cute. Has this alternative vibe. I ate here two times. The first time; the food didn't land that well, but I like to give venues a second chance. So the second time I organised a vegan meet-up there with a cheese fondue and some side dishes. I personally wasnt a fan of the fondue, but I know two people who do like it (one was a student with probably some tough taste buds by her studentlife alcohol consumption, the other one a person who never has a critical note on anything vegan which makes her not a very trustworthy influencing source).
Read moreDid the second time again landed like the first time eating there; no. But, from the sounds of the large group most (if not all) didn't like the fondue flavor. I only recommend this place to people who like alternative vibes, and who would probably like the tangy taste of the nut fondue

I really love the vibe of this place. It has something special and edgy. I tried vegan samosas and bitterballen and both were very tasty. The waitress was also extremely friendly and helpful. Next time I'm in Groningen I'll come back here for sure!

I really liked the ambiance of Kult. The staff was very nice. They also have many vegan options. I shared the nachos, samosas and ‘bitterballen’ with my boyfriend and that was more than enough for dinner. I liked the samosas and ‘bitterballen’. I wouldn’t order the nachos again, because it was too much and the vegan cheese wasn’t melted.
Read moreBesides vegan snacks, soups and main dishes, Kult also has a large selection of vegan desserts. We tried the chocolate cake and the cheesecake. They were both good, but very heavy! I would recommend sharing a dessert.

Love this kind of places. A bit edgy, rough. But good food. We had the nut fondue, Japanse vegan trio of 'eggrolls', sushi and seaweed. We also tasted the vegan lemper (Indonesian snack) which I (as from an Indonesian family) did approve of. The staff is really nice and helpful. Love it when one one of the first questions is; do you guys eat vegetarian or vegan?

It is always nice to come here for an everyday meal. The staff is funny and you get a decent, simple and healthy plate of food. Sometimes you have to wait for it a while but with the great decor you won't be bored.

We couldn't find Kult in the first place, but we were glad we looked a little harder because we had a wonderful time! The people were super friendly, and the vegan "cheese" fondue was to die for. Unfortunately we were to stuffed for desert because the vegan options sounded delicious. You can also play board games and get a pot of tea with cookies.

Lots of choice for vegans. Friendly staff, they even reopened the kitchen for us so we did not have to search for another place with vegan food. The restaurant was nicely decorated and cosy.

Bit quirky looking place (in a good way) that serves a bunch of snacks and a few changing main courses. I think all of their standard warm snacks are vegetarian, when seasonal meat dishes added to the menu.
Read moreAnyway, we had some vegan starters, and shared a vegan cashew-cheese fondue. The food was very tasty and came in big portions. You can really tell the vegan dishes are not just an aftertought. The fondue was well made and not just some store-bought vegan cheese. They also had one other vegan main which we didn't try but which did sound good.
Groningen doesn't seem to have any vegan places that are open after 6 in the evening, and this makes for a nice bar to have dinner. Would go again.
